New mould on order

Placed an order today for a 5 cav Al mould for the 9 mm.
Went with the 35 120L. Spec’d at .358 with wheel weights. I have no doubt that it will drop right at or very slightly over .358.

Question, can I order a mould from Accurate Molds?

Near as I can tell the nose is a little more squat than the Lee. Meplat is slightly larger, maybe .015-.020?
Once Iget the mould and cast some they will be powder coated and loaded over 5-5.5 gr of Power Pistol. My CZ75B barrel was throated so it handles a longer than normal OAL.

Don't bring that up with Tom or he'll put some old cheese in with your order.

I'd really like to see some radius on that meplat for feeding and appearance.

All this talk about new Accurate moulds got me going again. Been meaning to order a 36-135W double-ended wadcutter for some time and today is the day. I have a couple thousand RP wadcutter cases that need filling and all my .38s shoot high with anything much over 130 grains. Ordered it the size and alloy that will let me use WW plus a pinch of tin when lubricated or softish scrap stuff when powder coated without requiring too much sizing. Principally they will be cast soft and powder coated but it's good to have options ;)

I have a couple accurate molds now. To my eye they are just as good as my NOE, Mountain or Arsenal molds!
Good luck

Accurate Molds are the first mold I go for. The quality is second to none. The ability to customize each mold is outstanding. The turnaround time is unbelievable. Ordered a new paper patch mold for my 38-55 Sunday.

What more could I ask for? No sharp edges where their shouldn’t be one. No burrs in cavities. The venting is perfect. Edges of sprue plate are all rounded to reduce scratching of mould surface.

Lee onleft, Accurate 120L on right. Differences are pretty small other than lube groove width.
Need to let them cool down then Make a few dummy rounds to get seating depth verified. Trying to pick up a coolish bullet from the pile can lead to burned finger tips.

Man, the things I learn by reading threads about casting and reloading stuff I don't do -- 9 mm and powder coating, in this instance.
