I tried the MP-BLK-GC today, with 41 grs N150. The chrono read 2060 fps. The alloy was BHN~12, powder coated. I shot it at a stack of water containers. Wind shield fluid containers with water is kind of the «new standard» for penetration/expansion testing around my parts, after the phone books disappeared. A .30-06, loaded with 180 grs Hornady interlock typically penetrates 5 such containers.
My MP-BLK penetrated 3 containers (they were devastated), punched a hole in the 4th, bounced back and fell to the ground. Original weight 231 grs, retained weight 130grs (61%).
So; lots of expansion/fragmentation, massive energy dump in a short «wound channel». I’ll try it again with a tougher alloy.
I tried to shoot a couple of groups with this load as well. But they happened to group outside my paper plate @100m
