I’ve gotten buy with pretty inexpensive screwdrivers for a lot of years.
I finally decided to treat myself to a nice set.

I have a set from Wheeler but may well upgrade soon. Those are nicer than what I have.
Good purchase dude.

I got a lathe that way.

Maybe a Star should be on that list?

That's a good set. After big disappointment with two different Wheeler sets, I tried the Weaver gunsmithing kit and have been very impressed, havent had to hollow-grind a single bit since getting it.

Brownells stuff is usually real quality. You should be set with that kit.

I have a Pachmayr set, a small Chapman set, and some diamond grit tipped ones that my brother
got me for Christmas a couple of years ago. I save them for special use on tight "stuck" screws,
since I expect the diamond grit to have a limited lifetime. It really works, high friction, keeps the
tip from wanting to cam out under torque. Since they will wear out, only use them when needed,
for their special ability.

I also have several holders for standard 'buy them in a tin' Phillips tips, used for sheetrock and
deck screws. They work well for any phillips, which are rare on guns except some buttplates.
The replacement hardware store hard straight bit tips are pretty good, but not so easy to find
as the phillips.

I do admire your new screwdriver set waco.
Chapman is indeed a good brand. Like Ian, I bought a Weaver set about 4 or 5 years ago. Used it two or three times during the first year, hope it turns up while we're packing for the move.

They are excellent screwdrivers I have had mine for nigh on two decades and they have never failed me. I do find the magnetic tip more of a curse than a blessing though.

I also have three Chapman sets which are also very good, but I have had the odd bit fracture and they don't have the range of slotted sizes of the Magna Tips but still very handy to have around when your Magna Tips can't be everywhere.

I've had that set of Brownell for longer than I can remember.
You're gonna love them.
Nothing like a perfectly fitting flat head bit.
I've abused my for years and have never had a bit fail or bugger up.
