new stainless media

Along the way i have been loosing some of the stainless pins. I have been using to clean my brass in my wet tumbler. So last week i ordered some new media to add to my old pins.
The new media is less than a 1/4 the length and about half the dia. of the pins i have. I am hopping that this new stainless material will eliminate the older pins from getting stuck in the primer hole. This new media is only sold through the companies web page. Which i will get tomorrow and post it. If anyone is interested.
I tried it today on 2 batches of brass. I had no problems that related to the new media. There mite be a problem with the small size of the media getting stuck to wet brass. But i guess only time will tell.

The media I have is what SSTM sells, never have I had it stick in a flash hole or case neck. I use a rotary media separator filled with water to rinse and separate the pins. Tumbling them under water keeps them from sticking to the insides of the brass.

I do have a problem with an occasional pin sticking in a case.
25 cal cases are the worst offenders, but I have got in the habit of checking each batch with a super strong magnet.
smaller size pins could be pretty useful.

I bought my STAINLESS PINS AND CHIPS from Gale Force Inc. Which i couldn't find again today. But i did an engine search for Stainless pins and chips. An i did come up with other companies that sell the same product.

At large, whereabouts unknown.
Since you're using short pins Kevin, make sure the darn things can't turn sideways in large cases and get stuck. I saw a guy have this issue with 45 ACP cases. I favor longer pins that are large enough in diameter to not be able to pass through a primer pocket flash hole.

My shorter pins get stuck in 25 caliber case mouths also. I purchased them from Buffalo Arms and dont have a clue who manufactured them.

I avoid that by not having any 25 cal firearms.

The pins do like to get crossways in cases at times.

not having a 25 is like not having a 30-06.
I'm kind of half considering getting a 257 Weatherby just to have the full 5 case set.

I don’t have an 06.
I do have lever actions in 32-20, 357 (2j, 44 mag, 45 Colt, 30-30, 375 Win, 444 marking, and 45-70.
Care to discuss my interests when it comes to firearms?

I passed twice on a 89 CB limited in 25-20,,,, looked at it 40 times.
the twice was two price reductions.
kind of wish I'd just bought it now, but I already had/have 2-92's to load for and 25-20 brass wasn't just layin around.

I passed on a NIB Marlin CB in 32 H&R at the Tulsa show a few years back. Price was 1200 which isn’t really that bad. I decided I wanted other stuff more at the time.

The 25-20 is just such a great little cartridge. I find it easy to load for and accurate. I have a Low Wall with a #1 wgt. octagon barrel, a 1892 full length rifle with round barrel, and recently got a Remington Model 25 that I think I am going to really like. I would really like to find the Lyman R25 tang sight to help with my seeing the sights, but so far they are unobtanium.
