New to me OLD MOLD!

Might mean a bullet release issue, though the round lube grooves don't give a casting very much to grab onto. It should be fun to get working. I agree--steel hammers on moulds is BLASPHEMY. That's what wood and rawhide mallets are for, if needed.

Going to have a hard time getting a good base on those, especially after sizing. Had poor luck with a mould not half that bad, got a smear from bulge on the base band due to cavity corner rounded and wouldn't shoot for beans.

CW,
COOL ! DUDE !
Now My Daughter want's me to load those 9's so she can shoot them next month. There are 1,000+ RN already loaded, but she want's to shoot those. And cast #356402 to be PC'd with FLB.

Looking over those ancient molds on fleabay, What the heck did they Wack molds with in the "old days" ? The back of a hatchet ?

The #358430 double coat, I'm going to load those over 1.4grs of Bullseye for the M&P's in .38S&W. Hope they'll hit POA. Looking forward to the #45-225-CAV bullet in all 45cal cases.
Have a Good Week
Thanks, Walks

There are a lot of old moulds like that. I generally won't buy them if the blocks are damaged in any way, I don't mind replacing sprue plate so much, but the small single cavity sprue plates need to come out of Canada, so I end up ordering several at a time. From looking at the few I did buy, my guess is that some guys used a piece of pipe to break the sprues. Personally, I break sprues by hand, with gloves on of course.
