I shouldn't harass anyone for jacketed bullets. I must have 10,000 or more of them on hand. Can't say when I last shot one but I have them.

Waco, you are gonna really enjoy that rifle.

I have loaded some subsonics for that cartridge, H110 works well, functions the action. Of course,
that is not necessary for a bolt gun. Since this cartridge is kinda like the .30 Carbine with a funny little
shoulder, H110 (invented for the .30 Carbine, I believe) seemed like an obvious choice to try.

Of course, I know of nobody fooling around with 220 gr bullets in the .30 Carbine, although it
has probably happened. Given the LOA limits, they probably had serious powder encroachment.

I am going to back track a little
That is the best copper colored PC I have ever seen.
How did you keep it of the nose of the bullet?

So does anyone have any problems with big heavy bullets, cast or otherwise, with the base being down below the neck?

No problem at all. Can't shoot a lne, heavy bullet in the cartridge without the bullet below the case neck so I wouldn't worry it.

And 4759 is a powder I have never purchased.

4759 seems to be in the right realm of burn rates for this round. It would fill up that tiny case nicely!

Waco to solve your problem put the bullet in a 30'06 with about 7.5 grs of fast powder and you will be shooting 300BLK with out all the worries.;)

Honestly..I have a couple of pounds that where given to me.
I tried it once and went back to 2400, IMR &H 4198 as well as RX7.
Nothing wrong with it,just not anything spectacular.

Supposedly all three are gone. I just now checked Powder Valley and 4759 & 4756 (forget the other one) isn't listed, not that it's out of stock, they aren't listed and hasn't been since it was announced that line was being discontinued.

7625, 4756 and 4759 have been discontinued. It is possible that some of each remains on retailer shelves. Will any of them be reintroduced? I don't know but I doubt it.

This is the third time that I know of that 4759 has been discontinued, came back before but this time? I dunno but I kinda doubt it, at least not soon if it ever does. Last time it was gone for several years. It's a real bummer too because I'm down to 20 pounds of 4759.

The first outing with my Ruger was a complete disaster:mad:
This rifle WILL NOT ignite CCI small mag primers. Some went off after two or three hits. Pretty tough cup I guess.
The other problem I had,my fault, the bullets I was loading had a cannalure. I seated them in a way where the cannalure was just above the case mouth.
This caused a few to hang up and boogered up a few case mouths.
All in all, pretty dissapointing day.
