One thing you have to look out for is the US made ammo. It is not made to spec. That is one reason for the case stretching at the web. European ammo does not do this as bad.

One thing you can do with the cordite loaded ammo that has hang fires is to leave it out in the sun under something black. Let it get HOT. It will cut down on the hangefires dramatically. Or just not shoot it. It will also wear a barrel out much faster than ammo loaded with regular powder. The cordite flame cuts the steel like crazy. Can't remember how they are marked, but the rifles are marked if they have been used with cordite. They were not supposed to shoot it in guns that were made after a certain time because it would wear the barrel out faster.
