Really long overdue...

rps20191022_184816.jpg

I picked up this mold gently used from Glen more than a year ago. Iirc the molds were from his friends estate. It's been on the to do list. They have scootch more lino than intended. We'll see what they measure & test hardness.

Anyone have any pet loads with this one? I'm going to wing'em from some 308's & maybe 3030.

H4198 at about half Lyman book's load is where I'd start in 308. Would want some feedback on what the bullet can take pressure wise and have sorta come to rely on this powder for initial loads before heading into slower burn powders. Good luck, should hit like a freight train.

never heard of the bullet.

but they look okay,,,, you might get them out of the barrel straight if'n you remember how to get them in the cases.

Good looking bullets! Is that the RCBS- clone?
I have never shot them, but I have considered the mould a few times..... If you have access to Vihtavouri N110, then 17-19 grs in the .308 seems to work with all my 150grs+ GC- bullets in the .308, with good accuracy and clean case necks.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately when I sorted them at least 45% had bad bases. I knew the plate needed adjusted but I was excited to pour some. We'll give it another run.

This is the noe copy of the venerable rcbs 195.
