Anyone have any experience with NOE 311-230 PB or GC bullet in 30-06, 308 or 30-30? Would like to hear what you have to say.

It had a wide dispersion of mostly round holes in a 30-30 seated mag length in a 325 Savage . It won't shoot at all in the 12 twist 308 I have to shoot . 6" @ 100 out on a paper patched x39 . I have an 8.5 twist 06' mistake that I actually bought it for but I haven't gotten to it yet . I bought the 2+2 mould .

It really likes a 7" ROT, and you'll likely have to taper-draw the curve of the ogive right where it blends with the parallel portion of the nose in order to achieve a sane seating depth in a .308. Most throatless .30-30s.....forget it, no way will it chamber unless the rifle is pretty worn. The nose will cast a bit fat. If your bores are smaller than .302" just past the throat, you may have to nose-size. It will stabilize in a 10" ROT barrel but may not shoot as accurately as you like unless it fits your rifles very well.

Have just started to test this bullet. I have the NOE mold that is 1 PB and 1 GC. Have rifles in 10" twist barrels in 30-06 & 30-30. This maybe more bullet lgt than they can handle. Only tested at velocities in the 1400 to 1575 fps range so far 4 to 5 inch 100 yard groups with bullet holes showing a yaw. Not very encouraging.
