I have a recent RCBS cast bullet sizing die.
The O ring needs to be replaced.
I have a local Ace Hardware.
What size should I ask for ?

( I know I can call RCBS, but Ace should be quicker. )

Ben - pm me your mailing address and I will send you a dozen. I bought a huge mega pack when I started buying a bunch of used dies. I have enough to last me for years!

Per ASE standard AS568 the number is 015. A 035 is 2-1/4" ID. Not sure what standard "35" is, maybe faucet O-rings?

not sure. All I remember is, when I needed some, I got the measurements and they were as I listed, and also had #35...

but I can attest that these work.

You don't have to tell, I figured it out ;), but if you hadn't mentioned it we'd never know.

HOME DEPOT.

Danco faucet O-rings, #35, also known to the world outside of plumbing as size #015:

It is good to have options, especially if the home stores, lumber yards, and plumbing supply houses likely all carry them and you don't have to special order from an autoparts store or industrial supply like Grainger, Imperial, Moss O-ring, Motion Industries, Hydraulic Supply, etc etc.

Well I just bought 4 #35 and 4 #40 o-rings from ACE and they look right, will try them tonight.

O-rings are sort of a classic economic case of cost vs quantity. $.50 each when you buy one or two, $0.07 each when you buy 100, you could probably get a truckload for less than a penny apiece. It's all in the (re)packaging, handling, and distribution.

When I needed one for the pressure washer it sure wasn't .50, was like $3. After that eye opener I bought a bulk pac of 500 assorted sizes at the NAPA store for something like $6.

Yeah I bought 4 #35’s at ACE for $0.59 each. There’s not a Grainger in my area so I’d have to pay postage. I needed 2 and have 2 spares. I did go to an auto parts store and picked up a assortment box but all were to thick in diameter.

I was going to ask Oscar to sell me some, but ACE for me was easy, and I won’t in 10 years from now finding a bag of 98 o-rings in a drawer scratching my head wondering what there for.

Just easier for me. YMMV
