Slack wax. It's more like alox than navy wax.

It actually makes a halfway decent lube ingredient, sub it for Vaseline. Not sure how healthy the fumes are, though, and it doesn't smell like roses even fresh from the package. My favorite of the bowl waxes was the dark stuff in the red/green boxes, sure-seal maybe? It had some microwax in it because it feathered like no tomorrow and had a nice glide to it without being oily.

Fluidmaster, that's the one, dark brown, not tan. The mixture probably changes daily so brand is no guarantee.

I have learned to stay away from any component that has a total lack of repeatability from one batch to the next!
