Old Jacobson Commercial Hand Mower question

I'd bet the mower uses a 1/2" belt on a standard angled pulley. Length should be his major concern. When you get into L+G stuff, the numbering system that should apply goes out the door to be replaced by the company numbers, at least if you are hunting through the rack at TSC or Lowes. A 1/2" x 48" belt from 4 different companies (Cub Cadet, K-Force, MTD, Husqvarna) all have different numbers.

Also, lot's of name brand L+G stuff uses belt lengths that include a fraction of a inch, so they can sell propriety belts for high money, than the hardware store standard length v-belts. Toro, John Deere, and Troybilt are brands I've had experience with, where this was the case.

OK,
Been on a V belt search all day!
When I took it of it worked out to the size I need would be 5/16" wide ( Based on the pulley width) X 32" long ( It Now measures 32.5" long but it is streched over the years) Or 8mm wide x 813mm!
Very difficult to find one!
Finally found something close on e-Bay...... 5/16 " wide X 31" ...however even counting wear that would be 1" shorter
Dont think I can get that much play out of the the spring tensoner

3/8" on a mower? I kinda doubt it. Betcha it's a 1/2". Were it me, I'd grab a 1/2" belt in 30, 31, 32 and 33, hang on to the receipt, and see which one fit right. A vee belt doesn't have to fit the width of the outer lips of the pulley, in fact a lot of them stand a little proud. As the belt wears they wedge further in. That's what the spring is for.

It could be a 3/8" belt, but that just sounds wrong to me, especially for Jacobson.
