I Know Jess does a great reboing job on rifles for 35 cal & +
But is there any other person reboing for Sub 30 caliber cartridges re: 7mm, 6.5 mm, or 25 ?

I would like to know this as well! Since LaBounty retired in northwestern Washington I know no one I'd trust. I've got both 6.5mm and 7mm rebored from .22 caliber by Cliff LaBounty and they are excellent! NOW....... I've got two .22's that are 'itching' to go to .25 as well!

That's it Ian..... take the easy part!!:p

BUT........ If Harry Pope rifled his first barrel (a .25 by the way...and it was accurate) on a lathe-like machine he modified for the lead (twist) and he peddled it like a bicycle for power... seems someone on here could at least follow in ol' Harry's footsteps!!

I done a google search on this a while back and come up with 2 or 3 others one is down in Arizona and does cut rifling.
I remembered his name from years back but I bet he has a workload back logged until he is dead already.

I don't know this guy and have not talked to him, but I was given his contact info at a small local show a year ago. You know how it is at a show - some one sees something on your table, asks a question and the next thing you know, you know each other's life stories but can't remember each other's names. He gave me this name and address and told me he'd been happy with his work. That's all I know.

I can bore it out for you, but you're on your own if you want the twisty part carved in it.
Don’t sell yourself short Ian. That worn out bit will leave plenty of twist marks all thru the “rebore”. That sucker will have more grooves than a classic album.

Yeah, with a 8,500-in-1" ROT it ought to shoot real, real slow, too. Should I copyright the name "Micro-Gouge rifling?

It seems the era of true gun craftsmen is coming to an end.

Think of the threshold on that twist rate.....

25 cal shot shell?
I bet you could throw almost 1/8 oz in the 1" magnum case.
probably be a riot shooting Bee's and butterflies...[until the bee hive owner or grand daughter caught you]

I'd be more inclined to go all the way up to the 32 cal version if you can stand the recoil of 1/4 oz of shot in the 32 federal case.

I had this gentlemen do some work for me.

I had found a 220 Swift Ruger #1V barrel. I sent it to him with a #1 receiver that I had pulled a std. weight 22-250 barrel off of.
I asked him to re-bore and re-chamber it to 25 Ackley Krag Imp.
After some time. I don't remember how long it was I got it back and it looked great.
This is how it shot.IMG_20170909_122354_130.jpg

I wouldn't hesitate sending another job.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
A 25 Krag Ackley Improved. Now there's something you don't see every day! Sweet!

Thanks. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. This has been on my list (now bucket list) ever sense I read a Gun Digest article about a High Wall conversion in 1963. Glad I waited, I think the #1 is a far better platform.
BTW just to set the record straight Classic Barrel didn't have a chambering reamer for this cartridge. I provided a PTG reamer.

Now that is something scb! What twist? What's his rifling configuration like? (lands and grooves, etc)

I like Hi-Walls! That said I have more #1's.........

I didn't specify anything about the rifling other than a 1-12 twist rate. It is 6 L&G. I too have a High Wall and a Low Wall, they are great guns. My eye sight has however deteriorated to the point that I can hardly hit anything with iron sights. I can't bring myself to drill and tap holes in a classic rifle. But that's just me.

My Dad's very last project was a Hi-Wall. He had Buhmiller in Kalipell. MT re-barrel it to .45-70. My Dad only had one scope an old Unertl target 3/4" from way back. Not on this .45-70 however. It has an old vintage tang sight and a Lyman 17A front. I really want to drill and tap that barrel for scope mounts! But every time I start to layout the holes it feels like someone is watching me.......
