They don't put you in Hospice, until the end is very near. That's been my experience with my Mother and MIL. Neither, lasted a week.

My Mom passed in 1977 at 79. Her birthday would have been 3 weeks ago. Born in 1898 she would have been 123. Now that makes me feel old.

Thank you all for the kind and gracious expressions in this thread.

This is definitely one of those Forks In The Road occurrences, where one's life events get classified as happening either before or after approaching that Fork.
