Maybe I will try a pound from smokes and a pound from powder by the pound, I have see a lot about both of those on the board, I found powder by the pound, does anyone have a link for smokes?

Here is a link to smokes. If this link is not allowed on this forum, please remove. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...-Hi-quality-Powder-for-DT-or-Spraying-bullets

I use Carolina Blue (very good), flame red (good) and clear that is the bomb. Ordered some traffic orange for a friend and it is not the best. A 1 lb bag will allegedly do around 10,000 or more bullets. Thats a lot

I stand mine up because I am an old car painter and I know paint flows so I want it to flow down and evenly, not off to the side. Good luck

HiTek is a 2 part solution, polymer and hardener. Powder has both mixed in. Either has to be mixed. I was trying it in BO & 308 to jacketed fps, I didn't have great results. Joe doesn't (didn't when I talked to him) advertise it as HV coating. For 1800 or so probably OK and commercial cast is probably OK in that range. MBC & others sell coated for lever guns.
If the first coat isn't correct, just remelt and start over i.e. no way to fix errors. PC, just coat or cook again.

Well I never used Hi Tek..... PC has be easy and flawless unless I used weird colors powders! I like Smokes Clear...The best
It is easy and bullets still look like cast
