I have an irresponsible number of Kung Fu (and other Chinese) films. A few years ago, two HK dvd companies re-released somewhere around 400 films on dvd. I have all of them! The most extreme ones were made in Indonesia, where there were no laws regarding the treatment of actors. HK film companies would go to Indonesia (or the Philippines) and do stuff that would get them jailed in HK. Somehow it was okay for them to release the films in HK after they were made. Some that should not be missed by those with strong stomachs (not Kung Fu films):

Killer Snakes - An hommage to Willard, sort of. Extreme cruelty to animals and unwitting extras.

Ebola Virus - Amazingly disgusting! An HK/SA coproduction... Apparently.

Dr. Lamb - Based on a true story. A truly awful true story!

Taxi Hunter - A bizarre pastiche of Taxi Driver, Death Wish, and Falling Down.

The Untold Story - AKA Human Meat Buns!

Three of these films star the wonderful Anthony Wong, an A-list Chinese actor who experienced extreme racism for being half-British and being a bastard. He also starred in many of the best films ever to be made in HK.
