I recently removed the g/c shank on 3 cavities, leaving 3 cavities with the g/c shank.

I cast these a few days ago, lubed with Carnuba Blue, sized .311", and rolled in BLL.
They are on the drying board in these photos :

Shot out of my Handi Rifle , 30-30 with Ranch Dogs , sized to .310"
my favorite load of 7.0 grs. of B'Eye with a large pistol primer.

5 rounds at 50 yards ( I'll take the blame for the round that is out
of the group ) :

Ben,
That is an accurate bullet for me too! Shoots well in both my 336 Marlin and My 340 Savage. I have the NOE version of the mould I plain based one side of the 2 cavity mould. For me 6.0 grains American Select with CCI 200 primers are the go to load

Fine shooting. Are the necks turned on that brass?

All of your pb shooting has me questioning why i bother with gas checks anymore.
Most of the deer i shoot are less than 50 yds. since i mostly hunt in thick woods.

Nice shooting Ben!
I have that same design but in an NOE 4 cavity 2GC 2PB design and I really like it!!
I shoot the gas check version over 18 grns of 4198 and the groups it produce look just like yours at 50 yrds and at 100 yds not much larger.
It is so consistent it is boring.....
It will shoot groups like that in my win 94 all the time if the rifle operator is up to the task.
That is a great design!!!

Thanks for the photos.
I think I may need to go warm up the other half of my mold and give your 5 grns of bullseye load a test run in my win 94.

Have a good day!

Good shooting Ben. It’s interesting how many versions of this mould there are out in circulation. NOE uses a S C designation in their nomenclature of the bullet nose type you have pictured. I ended up with both styles, but my Marlin prefers the other narrower ogive.
