Potential Alloy Resource

I've never heard of these folks myself and don't even remember what I was searching when they popped up, but the link is for a potential alloy resource. Most or all of you may have heard of them, since they make Lawrence shot, but I'm not much of a shotgun guy and have never purchased alloy other than the mongrel mixtures intended for something other than bullets. I'd never heard of them, but though I should share in case someone else here might recognized them as a viable resource - or otherwise.

I'll not personally be sending off an order, as I source my material through various alternate, "creative" outlets (short of stealing it) and have no personal experience with them - nor a connection in any way.

they make Lawrence and northwest shot brands.
if you could get their shot alloy at a decent price they would be a good source, and all you'd need to do is mix a little tin in to mimic today's ww alloy, only a lot more consistently from batch to batch.

If any of you guys reach out to them for a quote, I'd be interested in seeing how much they charge. I'm in the market for a couple hundred lbs.

I would be skeptical of any vendor not offering a per pound price up front. Zip Metals, of Cleveland, does, and their prices just went up. 500 pound minimum purchase of 99.9% ingot went from $800 last week to $945, plus shipping. You can just roll up and ask for 500 pounds and not deal with shipping: I called and asked. A one-hundred pound minimum seems convenient for the private caster, but at that level I would expect to get slammed with handling charges, as this is a small amount. They'd rather sell prefabricated product by the ton, I imagine.

No point in wasting time being skeptical when they make it so easy to contact them to find out for sure. Wouldn't have taken any longer than calling Zip, I'd imagine. Maybe they don't offer the deal Zip does, but without making that simple contact, there's also no point in making the comparison without data for one of the things being considered.:)

@Dimner , hit the "REQUEST A QUOTE" button. It's exactly like any "contact us" button asking for similar info and giving you a field to ask what you want to ask. There's no obligation just to ask what they get for 200#. Metals prices change quickly. BY the time someone ELSE gets a quote and shares it here, it may not be accurate information.:)

@Rockydoc , I saw that too, but I did NOT notice that it was 100# minimum only for the first alloy. The others below it are 1k# minimum. Didn't know if you noticed that or if it mattered to you. I overlooked it the first time. While I'd love to order a couple k#, I'm pretty much OK on alloy and wouldn't have the money for 1k# of pretty much ANYTHING anyway.:)

Again - no affiliation, but they make it easy enough to get a price. I know many of us have a finite supply of alloy, so shopping around seemed like a good idea to me. I've followed hundreds of dud leads looking for stuff during "droughts" for every viable deal I ever found. As sthe old saw goes, "y' don' know ifn' y' don' ask.":)
