Power pistol

I loaded up 100 rounds of 9mm today to try a few things. I used the Lee 120 TC with 2 thin coats of PC. One coat was leaving a little leading so I tried 2 coats to see if that helped.
No leading, load shot to the sights, and was for me accurate enough. I used mixed brass, 5 gr of Power Pistol, and WSP. I seat them pretty long as the magazine handles them fine and I had the barrel throated by Dougguy.

I love power pistol. Anymore most all my 9’s 45’s and 38’s are loaded with power pistol.

It’s amazing how consistent it shoots across the chronograph. I usually have single digits SD’s

Nice shooting, Brad.

Back the charge down a scootch w/one coat, it probably wouldn't lead.

Hunerd rounds ehh...huh...thought ya had a dillon, those supposed to spit out hundreds of rounds an hour, even if you don't touch it.:p

Hot off the press 100 pcs, range time & go. Can tell your a shooter.;)

100 rounds to make sure it was a load I wanted more of. Ever load up a ton of ammo only to find it shoot for crap? I have. Sucks to just go bang away to shoot it up.

For whatever reason my PC seems to go on really light. One coat once baked is really, really thin. The second coat seems to make a difference. My twice coated bullets look more like what others get with a single coat. Might just be the powder?

Jus teasing of course.

Does your container have left over powder after tumbling? Maybe just add a little more for thicker first coat?

If you can increase the static charge of the container it should build thicker

There is powder left over. The bullets are at least getting a nice, even coating. A second coat isn’t a big deal, just takes a bit of time.

Try a hair less powder? Increased humidity during application could help.

Wonder how thick 2 coats is.

Hard to say exactly but the bullets grew roughly 2.5-3 thou with 2 coats. This is on the high spots of the coating.
I don’t expect sizing to be an issue?

If the powder was dried out or the tumbling container lost the static charge was the times I'd get thin coating using the hf powder. I dunno, sounds like you had fun with it.
