Obviously I am already famous hahahaha

Maybe the Lee loader forum or gunslingers gulch ?
There's a bunch of almost famous rebels both places . Powder and primers was of major interest during the middle 6 of the last 10 years on the gulch . BP and primer caps anyway .

Welcome aboard, Nueces 5. I am assuming that your "1909 Mauser" is chambered in 7.65 Mauser.......I have used the Lee #C312-185 with good results in the wider-dimensioned 30-06s that have been a fixture of my casting and shooting hobby in the past. Its as-cast .312" drive bands and .302" nose were a good fit in those "wide-bodies". Fit REALLY matters--both in the drive bands and in the bore-rider nose that Lee rifle bullets feature.

Welcome, Nueces5! I remember a "Nueces" fom boolits but I think he lived near me in Texas, on the Nueces river. Most of us are scroungers and are frugal by nature if not necessity, so in many ways the hobby is the same for us regardless of country or climate. I used to follow a man in eastern Africa who did amazing things with cast shotgun slugs loaded in factory birdshot hulls because only shotguns were allowed and only birdshot cartriges were available to buy. No powder or primers. Improvisation at its finest. We find ways to do what we want with what we have or can get, which is part of the fun.

Are you acquainted with our friend Mike in Peru who is a missionary from the USA and avid cast bullet hunter? I believe he lives in Arequipa, considerably north of you up the western coast.

I did not know there was a river Nueces, in my case, the nick name has with me about 20 years, and I took it by chance.
I wish I lived in Texas. In Argentina we do not get so many types of gunpowders!
A friend of my ex-wife lived in Austin, and I had the pleasure of going to visit her and get to know a bit of the city. Take the opportunity to go shooting with AK47 and AR15. Something that we do not have in my country.
Also know the monument to Steve Ray Vaughan, a guitarist that I like very much.
From Peru I really like their gastronomy, hahaha
