Primer pocket uniforming tools (?)

Just trying to get a consensus of you folks' thoughts on these tools for rifle shooting!
I recently cleaned primer pockets on 200 of my best 30-30 brass ( Win Super Speed) and the all had convex primer pocket bottoms!
Normal primer pocket cleaning tools only removed 3/4 of the residue...from the center out.....the outside edges were still covered in crud.
I used a tiny screwdriver to clean out the rest of the recess! It was a PITA!
Was checking out the Sinclair tool on youTube and it looks like the cats meow

I use the Redding one in a cordless drill motor. Every piece of large rifle brass that comes to my loading bench gets the treatment.

i don't remember the name of mine, but i use them on the rcbs gadget that spins everything.
all of my rifle brass gets run over it.
the good part is if it won't enter the pocket on any milsurp brass i know the primer won't fit and the crimp needs cut more.
no big deal,,, the crimp cutter is spinning away right next to the pocket cutter.

anyway i find very few federal cases that don't get cut at least some, and quite a bunch of others that just get cut on one side or just the outside.
they ain't perfect but they are better and flatter so i'm happier.

Redding large and RCBS small chucked in a cordless drill. The Redding came with the 1/4" drill adapter that I use with the RCBS so its threads don't get mangled. The Redding also came with a hand tool for working only one price of brass. ;)

Mine are both solid carbide tools from Sinclair. I use a cordless drill to spin them and they do the job quickly and precisely.
Same here. Dont use all the time, but as often as any and when you need them they work well.
Remember There are three sizes. Two large and a small.

The Sinclair tool is set to these maximums and cut a clean flat pocket.

Primer Pocket Depths ("in thousands" SAAMI Specs)

Small Pistol - .118" to .122"
Large Pistol - .118" to .122"
Small Rifle - .118" to .122"

This begs two question: Who uniforms handgun brass? If so, does it make a marked difference?

I did all my hangun brass when competing, bottle neck and straight wall. Any advantage you can get when trying to hit a target the size of a pack of cigarettes at 200 meters with an iron sighted handgun makes a difference. If nothing else confidence in your equipment is priceless.

If you think it makes a difference, it will; at least in your mind. :)

I did 100 45 Colt cases once. Kept them segregated for use with heavy loads in the Marlin 1894. This kept the primers well below the head so discharge due to impact on a high primer was never going to happen.

There were done with the large rifle tool, not the large pistol.

I've done all my rifle brass, because of its phycological advantage. My handgun shooting is no further than
50-yards, so never bothered with it. If I were shooting competition, yep, I'd do it.
