QuickLoad question

My bullet file may not be up to date in QL. Specifically I don't have any of Mihec's molds or the Saeco 315 and it's clones. Don't have any Accurate, NOE, molds either. Some RCBS, Lyman and Lee.

Is anyone aware of an update in the bullets file?

I hve a update for NOE.... But dont know how to apply it so the porgram recognizes the new files. (Im not that puter savy)
I am not aware of files for Mihec, Accurate, Arsenal or Saeco. Mine has LEE & RCBS bullets.

NOE molds has an upload, this is one answer. The upload is on their website, you can downlead it to your computer. Their instructions do not work well for all computer operating systems, you are better to get help for the incorporation into QuickLoad.

Many of their molds are copies of existing molds, even to the point they no longer reference the competitor's mold. I find a mold that is very close in dimensions to the other mold and work from there. A little work, but one way to address this problem.

I also use this for breech-seating. I use a -.060 seating depth. The results closely match what I've later observed for trajectory on the range.

I have the same problem. I put ql on a w10 computer and downloaded the noe files. I did something wrong, as they don't show up in the .bul area.

Im severely computer illiterate. Plus have little patience to learn them. :sigh:
Plus this ver10 software just baffles me I cant find anything. So its quite largely "just me"

use Brads recommendation for how much bullet is inside the case versus something from Lyman of the same weight.
you'll be close nuff to not have to worry about pressure problems unless your trying to run your 7x57 at 61-K. or something like that.

Bullet file is mostly length of bullet, weight, and crimp to nose.

Here is another QL question: Case capacity in grains of water: Do you fill the case to the mouth of the case or to the shoulder/neck junction?
I have always filled the case completely, to the mouth.

Level with the mouth of a resized case, for most accurate ignition and shot start pressure considerations. The case will expand when fired but by the time pressure is high enough to do so, the bullet is on its way and ny that point the slight volume change is inconsequential.
