Quickload, what happened?

I haven't used ql for quite a while. When I tried this morning, everything was screwed up.
It showed my last choices but when I attempted to select a different bullet, the dropdown gave bullets from .14 to 35mm with only a few choices in each diameter. When I searched .308, no .bul files found. Tried to select another bullet from the list and it won't put anything in the bullet box. Tried to select another caliber and now that box is blank.
This is a linux laptop and it was working with linux the last time I used it. Maybe the update disc screwed it up?

Was it updated from the CD since last used? Sometimes Linux loses stuff in the HD structure. Try a disk check, but back up all your saved loads you can. Linux disk structure is kinda linked-list, lose a link and wow.

In my version of quickload, the bullet files are grouped by manufacturers. So there is one for hornady, nosler, Speer, etc...there is one for lyman and you can download one from NOE for their bullets.

So it might be that you are in a bullet file that doesn't have many bullets inthe diameter you are looking for. I'd suggest first changing your bullet file to a know manufacturer. For example try choosing hornady just to see if that one has all the bullets that you would expect.

I'm guessing that doing this will get you back on track. You might have inadvertently, the last time you used the software, created your own custom bullet file with just a few bullets in it.

My issue is getting that NOE file INTO WHERE QL SEES IT!!

Are ya sure that you are selecting the proper files? I know its lust a line of type on mine not at all highlighted so ya know its a "clickable" olace. I found it by accident when I first started looking.

I have the NOE on my desk top but QL dosent see it and Im not savy enough to know what ta do with it.

Mine wasn't grouped by manufacturer, but arranged by weight in the selected diameter. Now, if I click on the bullet and caliper icon, it asks me where to look. When I select any of the locations, nothing shows up.
It's looking like a fresh install is in order.

Are you able to give me a screen shot?

I might be able to help if I can see what you are seeing.
