I read a lot of good things about this powder in the 357 Maximum.
I bought a can of A/A 4100 yesterday.
I'm anxious to send some of these down range.

Works a treat in my Max, either PP or GC and dip lubed a la RD's method. GW

I am kinda stuck on A1680, that's the slowest powder suitable for that size case. I get over 2100 in my 24" Cadet.

After buying it , I've decided that it is a touch fast to be used in a 357 Max. rifle.

Fine, I'll still shoot it up. Never know, you might stumble onto an accurate load.

No matter how much I read about a powder I always like to try it out. No such thing as to much powder on hand. I buy 8lb jugs, figuring no matter what I'll have given it an honest shot in numerous calibers before it's gone. I've never found a powder I don't like in something.

Ben, that was in reference to the RD190. My rifle is 1 in 16 and loves that bullet, for some reason not nearly as good with a 175gr. Didn't do well with faster powders either. GW

Ben that chart is messed up.

4100 and Enforcer are the exact same powder, it's also known as C-1480 to commercial loaders.
it is super, super close to 2400 but instead of using say 17.5grs you'd use 17.1-2 grs for the same pressure and velocity.
I got something like umm,,,, most of [okay part of now] a 35lb fiber drum of it here.
you'll like how it meters.

I use it in my 300 B.O. under 100-110gr jacketed bullets to zip them along at @ 2400 fps.

It is a powder that is new to me, according to what you're saying I may find good application here on my end of things, because I'm a big fan of 2400.

I've used 4100 in the large 500S&W, I liked the results, but a lb doesn't go very far when filling those large cases. It's a powder that isn't stocked much in my area,,,well it's almost non-existent, because I haven't seen second can of it, to buy

Good to read on another viable powder option for the Maxi! I havent seen it to try. But I have seen Enforcer.

The RDs are favorites of many folks! This 190 was my all time fav untill I bought this 230g NOE! I also have the 180 Version and its good one as well! The 190 gives some triubles with its dia at the ogive after PC. The 185 is better and so is this 230 version. Both my 185 & 190 are GC molds but the 360-232 is pb. (I dont see the need a GC with PC for the vel Im shooting.)

Im hard pressed to find one that works better than 1680 in my Maxis. Bee using it for most of the last thirty years. Produces excellent velocities and no pressure aigns in my guns at book charges.

I actually am Just testing a few powders in a new to me Savage 357 Max and the 230 RD using H4227 5744, #7 & 1680 was the top performers. H4227 of coarse is discontinued so again Im back to 1680. These tests where with a. NOE 360-232 powder coated sized .359. Vel so far is right @ 1700 fps from Its 24” Bbl.

yep ^^^.
if you want top dog velocity's even H-110 won't touch 1680 in the real big cases.
if the case size is smaller well [shrug] 110 was built to pander to them and you can't get enough 1680 in them to make it.
