Back when i Chronographed this Load

Ranged with my Leica 1600B Rangefinder, and Google Earth Shot in Yards, This is a TRUE 1,200 YARDS

A look from my Rifle, That is a VERY small Target with Open/Peep Sights for this Kind of Distance, My Entire Target (White Backing) is ONLY 3 Ft By 3Ft Square. My Steel Plate is 20 inch Square, 1/2” AR500 Plate, It weighs 60 Pounds

My 3 Consecutive Hits, Shots Number 3 & 4 are Very visible, 5th and Final Shot Just Cuts the Right side of the Plate

5th and final Shot up Close, Cuts the edge of the plate, exits the Cardboard Backing

What I could find of my Bullets, Even at 1,200 Yards They stil hit with SERIOUS authority!! They are Splattered to Pieces

Wow, very impressive . . . .Beautiful bullets. Great shooting.

I'll bet it did hit with some authority. 600 grains is a lot of momentum, once ya get that much momentum going it doesn't want to stop for anything.

You would need to aim at about head height to make that shot on a game animal!

If your game animal was a Brachiosaurus!

Truly amazing shooting!

I doubt that my eyes and right shoulder would let me play in that game.
Impressive shooting.

I am fairly amazed frankly. Of course that super solid custom portable rifle rest must help. What does your rifle weigh? Can't be much over 10 pounds. Sorta hurts just thinking about it.

Thank you everyone, I sure enjoy this Long Range Black Powder stuff, Pushing the envelope so to Speak. I don’t do this to Bragg, i truly don’t! I am just as happy to see someone else accomplish it, and to help them get there anyway i can. This stuff is not real Practical, It’s just plain Ole Fun to see if i can do it? I have had WAY more Failed attempts than Successful ones. I shot in the Wind here at 1,200 Yards 2 Days ago, I was holding as much as 18 MOA of Wind, I hit my Gong Chain 1 Time, And Cut the Leg off my Stand another :) I went home with a SORE & Bruised Shoulder, Then went Back yesterday to Pound on it Some more

I enjoy Casting for this Long Range BP Shooting Just about as much as Shooting. Quality Bullets, SHARP Bases are Critical here. Optimum fillout, My Mold drops these Bullets at 607 Grains when Cast of Certified 1-20 Alloy (i get from Buffalo Arms) When my Mold and Alloy Temp is “in the zone” 95% of them will Weigh 607 Grains. After a Casting session All bullets are weighed and kept to 1/2 Grain of 607 Grains

Well I must also write Well Done ! You have the hard work done and can now enjoy the fun.
Sooner or later you will have a no wind day or maybe an early clear no wind morning.
Thank you again for the fine photos !

Rice Bullet Barrels are “Match Grade” 4140 Chromoly Steel, They are Left hand Twist. Rice makes a “Drop in” Barrel for the TC Hawken & Renegade Stocks, Unlike most Muzzleloader Barrel steels such as 12L14 barrel steel (Leaded) and 1137 Steel (Easier to machine) Rice uses the same High Quality 4140 Chromoly Steel as you find in Centerfire Rifle Barrels. Rice makes their Own Breech plugs as well, they are CNC Machined from Solid Bar Stock, instead Of Cast
