Just heard Kenny Rogers passed away at age 81....I guess that he broke even, the best that you can hope for to die in your sleep...which is what he did---RIP Kenny!

He had one hell of a good life and a net worth 1/4 billion dollars. He'd have had a lot more if it wasn't for 1993 divorce.

Followed his career from New Christy Minstrel Singers on the TV show Hoot-in-nanny, thru The First Edition (saw their USO show in Ben Hoa) and his solo act. The guy could sing. RIP

Real got in to the 'First Edition" at time in my life! ....."Just Dropped In To See What Condition My Condition Was In" My first ever " psychedelic" song I heard!

One of my favorite singers. When I got my new stereo at 13, I got to pick 3 records, One was Kenny Rogers Greatest hits.
