My friend Nick shooting my Ruger 9mm Carbine with Glock Mag. this morning.
He shot a full magazine ( 17 rounds ) at 40 yards.
The load was the Lee, 125 gr. 2R , RN cast bullet sized .3575"
3.8 grs. of American Select.
Wolf small pistol primers.
BTW..........The brass catcher ( which certainly isn't a thing of beauty ) worked 101 %.
Be certain you look at the last 5% of the video to see the target.

The Sightron with variable intensity red dot with 4 different reticles.
Here it is at MidWay:

Many of the red dot sights are virtually useless in the daytime with bright sun. Not this one ! ! I also like the factory lifetime replacement warranty. Here are the 4 different choices of reticles with the scope , twist the knob on the side of the scope and pick the one you like :

A very nice sight.

Well, there you go....proof that cast bullets aren't accurate. :D :D
Heck of a group. That gun is accurate, and it sure works well with that load.

Have you snagged any of those ets 10round mags? Wondered if they fit in there.

Up Date

The Ruger Carbine accepts all 9mm Glock mags with the Glock Magwell adapter installed from the G26 mags to extended G17 mags

Yes Bill, with the Lee 125 gr. , 2R round nose coming out of my 6 cav. Lee blocks. You can make a lot of bullets in a short period of time.

Ben, your posting about the Ruger got me interested and I bought one, it shoots great with my load of Lee 356120 TC @ .357" over 3.8 gr of WST, which I also use in other 9mm's.

Then I put a Votrex Venom Red Dot on it and, for my eyes, it shoots even better. I've also converted to the Glock mags. Bought one of the
PMAG21 GL9, 21 rd. Glock style magazines that works great. Targets below were shot @ 50 ft., max for indoor range, with factory sights.

I also have a load with 140 gr FN [NOE 357135FN] and AA7 that shoots great. Fun gun.

Have a red dot on the ar9. Think I'd do a regular scope if I got one of these, maybe 2-8 might be fun. I dunno.

The biggest problem I would have with one is keeping ammo loaded.
I bet my wife can unload ammo as fast as Trevor and my daughter even faster.

Don't need another weapon at this stage in life, but if I
did have the itch, I would probably scratch it with one
of these.

These Ruger carbines look like a ton of fun. I am already in indenturement to SWMBO's 9mm habit with the SIG-P-228, so one of these in the safe would require me to hire some help for both casting and reloading. It is a joy to watch Marie cutting chrysanthemums in target paper, for sure--but get 1 or 2 of the girls helping her out--and a grandkid joining the action......well, time to buy some bulk J-words to simplify and streamline the refill process.

Today's heretical contribution has been made, so now we can return to the more refined discussions of Poured Projectile Appreciation.
