Have a 7.5" BH that all it's fed are Ruger only loads. No spare ACP cylinder, nor do I want one. Don't own or load that caliber. It's Cindy's hunting handgun. She has taken two deer with it, when she hunted.

Am I the only one here that realizes how remarkable that is. I mean wow, John has 1> A single action and 2> A barrel over 2 inches long. Just wow.

IIRC, paid @ $160 for it, new. Friend had a FFL and picked up three of them. Asked me if I was interested. Michigan just passed the use of handguns in the restricted shotgun only portion of the lower peninsula. Cindy didn't care for the recoil of a twelve gauge but liked my 6" Python and wanted to hunt with it. Michigan only allowed you to hunt with a handgun registered in your name..................so I had her pull the purchase permit on the BH.

The only other SA revolver, I own, is the ROA. Sadly, it only comes that way.:(

I much prefer these barrel lengths.

I have the 45 set in an older BH and it shoots well. Both I have owned needed throats reamed. I rented one and bought and sold another reamer. I have a SSM 32 H&R, BH's in 44 special, 357/9mm and the aforementioned 45 and the Lipsey's 44 is the only one wearing original grips. I cannot shoot Bill Rugers slick grips for the life of me. The Redhawk 44 Mag came with two sets, Pachs & wood and they fit fine.

I have a black hawk convertible & a stainless bisley 45colt. I had the acp cylinder cut to accept the 45 auto rim. It shoots great with 5.3gr of 231 h a 230gr round nose cast bullet. I just got lucky I guess cause the acp cyl also fits the bisley & it shoots great in it too.

I have the 5.5 inch Bisley. Bought it in 2014 a my retirement gift from my wife. Took an hour and some documents to convince Buckeye Firearms to ship it to Commiefornia since they couldnt find it on the roster......its exempt as a single action, so its not on the roster.
Only shot about 50 rounds od 45 ACP thru it since I have several 1911's for that.

Think it was a Lipsey's exclusive when I bought it. Looked at Davidsons and they show it now in blue, both 4 5/8 & 5.5" available 749 retail and 600 at the local shops.

I had one from Accusport that didn't come with the ACP Cylinder. I let it go when my desires changed to getting a SRH Alaskan...boy was that a dumb move.
