Ruger PC - 9

When buying a Ruger PC-9 , the rifle only comes with 1 mag., that being an SR9 Ruger Mag.

I bought a Glock 30 round high capacity mag. for the rifle and in order to shoot the rifle off of bags , testing loads, the 30 round mag. won't work at all.

So , I ordered 4 ea., Glock 17 mags. They came today. I quickly changed out the mag. adapter to the Glock.

I'm in business.

I dislike polls on the whole but I want to take an informal one here.

Who will be faster, Ben filling the magazines or a Trevor emptying them?

My money is on Trevor.

You do have to admit that the low cost of Glock magazines is a huge plus.

Yeah, Trevor for sure, on that race.

Don't have or want a glock but the inexpensive mags were the main reason I went that route on the ar9.

Ben, I bet the 10round g26 mags would fit in there just about flush. They click into the ar9. Maybe a good option for bench/small game hunting. We got a couple of the ets 10rnd ones on sale, they work good.

Just got home from the local gun show. Was one of these Ruger PC - 9's on a table NIB for $550. Never looked at one before & have no idea what they go for.

No problems, Ben. As much as your posts have helped me over the years I'm happy to contribute anything I can.

If you put a chunk of tape on your glock mag just shy of 1.5" below the bottom of the bottom of the mag catch & click in, it should let you know. I'm curious too, please share if you think they'd fit.

they retail @600. Anything under is gravy. I found one local for 400+tax but didn't have the 45min each way to go get one, so missed out. That was deguns in Lincoln.

Ben,
Could you do me a favor and weigh your rifle. I'm just curious. I picked one up at a local retail shop and it felt like 11 pounds or better.

That was my thought also when I first picked it up Ben. I was actually quite surprised how heavy that one felt. I was kinda wondering if they made more than one barrel length and I looked at the heavier model. I've only seen one in a shop up here.

One thing that adds to the weight of the rifle is the tungsten dead-blow weight that is in the bolt.

I also had the impression that it was surprisingly heavy. 6.8 does seem too low for
what I remember, but I expect Ruger is right.
