Ruger Single Six .32 H&R Mag

I WANT the 32 Mag/32-20 convertible SO bad! Buddy has one for sale, but place selling it split the cylinders and he didn't get the 32-20. And, it is NOT a Bisley. I don't have one of those and in 32 it would be a perfect match!

ps: WORST part is, way back when the 32 H&R came out, I had one and let it go. Couldn't get ammo/not yet casting, etc... Damn, I WISH I still had that gun!

I have one like yours. I also use the arsenal mold copy of the RCBS bullet. Brad recommended that same load to me. I have a bunch of HP-38 and that's what I use. Surprisingly accurate and fun to shoot. I have to keep it hidden from my better half because she will claim it. Just to add one thing. The armadillos hate it!

Which was a very large and heavy gun for anything less than the 44 Mag, let alone the 32 Mag/32-20. We got one of the 32-combos and 38/40 combos in the shop right when they came out. My first impression was "man, that's a lot of gun for 32s!," but they did not last long and we never got more in.

The first 32 Mag I shot was a 4" Charter, which belonged to a neighbor. I was between leaving the Army and an opening at my new job and had time on my hands. He asked me to work up loads for him. That was the coolest little revolver.

Then, there the 4 5/8" Single Six for $200, for which I was plagued with the chronic "revolver-timing issues;" don't have the cash at the time I see a revolver I want or don't see the revolver I want at the time I have the cash.
 
As already posted, the 32-20 has to be in a BH frame. But I shoot 32-20, and would love one none-the-less...

A single six for 32 Mag is perfect. I also have (wife's actually/her Dad's) H&R snub revolver in 32 Mag. SO far, I've mostly shot 32Ls in it. Don't shoot it much and not going to work up a load. Now you guys make me want to start looking for a SS 32 Mag (again - wish I'd kept one I had way way back)...

You could be right,,I haven't shot that over a chrono in years. That 3.5/231 98rcbs shoots some tight in my 32/20 marlin as well,maybe that's where I remember the 1000...
 
I don't have my chrono book with me this hitch at work but I believe 3.5gr of HP-38 with the Arsenal copy is moving in the 900's. Regardless it is an accurate load. We shoot the smaller scale silhouette targets with that gun/combo. Low recoil, accurate, perfect for a newer shooter, young shooters or recoil sensitive.
