Alabama K-12 public schools should plan for students to finish their school year at home, Gov. Kay Ivey said today.

This will likely become more the rule than the exception in much of the nation.

I have largely stopped paying attention to most news accounts. One of our local online news feeds remains rational and reasonable, and their info has remained steady and measured throughout this mess. City and County of Los Angeles have both predictably and reliably lost their minds, as have network news sources. I think the these entities pivot off each others' hyperboles.

Utah done this about 2 weeks ago. The colleges in the state have all closed and went online. And cancelled the graduation ceremony events.

In Scranton PA we have a large medical college that graduates 30 to 50 doctors every 4 to 5 years ( along with nurses and med tech people)
Because of the situation My associate who photographs their Graduation , White Coat day ( doctors get their white coats) and all the graduating students was informed that all of these have been canceled this spring! A loss to him of many thousand dollars! This situation cuts deep

Mn. closed to May 4th announced today. They have been at home 10 days I think now. Sounds like the cities are doing computer home learning, but available to all students up here.
