Scored on a sweet 41026

Well, others feared to tread, and I rushed in.

Get some hot swinger action! [metal hangers, gutter minds...]

Also, only @ 199 grains, plenty of Unique load data. Gotta love the .41 Remington Magnum, it is a fairly recent introduction [we had space flight by then] so the dimensions are pretty well uniform.

Well I thought I knew what you were writing about but wrong again. Your 41026 is a wad cutter with a nose and I was thinking 41032 a 210-212 grain SWC. I have an 1980's single cavity 41032 that always did well. The only 41 wad cutter I have is one of the NOE 413-215-WC in four cavity. This mould makes nice bullets. Wad cutters have other uses than just making nice round holes in paper. Ringing steel would be one of them.

I have a 410610, a SAECO 415 [220gr TCGC], and some other SWCs if I wanted to go SWC. The 41026 would not be my choice at 100yds, but seeing the target with iron sights? Rooting about for a low power pistol scope, 2x or 4x -ish. If I want to reach out to 150 yards, the 414 SM Contender will get it done. 2,000 fps / Hornady 210gr XTP in a 16" barrel! You need a firm grip when you have a [light] synthetic stock. Recoil is not bad.

In a shocking development, it turns out that the common [and readily available] "402" top punch is the exact match for the button nose 41026. I was expecting some near-mythical TP, like 28.5 made only under the direct supervision of Charles Lyman in a copper-lined room.

Most of my 41 moulds are SWC that resemble each other except for minor variations in weight. From 220-250 grains. Some times I wonder why I buy the same basic mould over and over but it's not some thing I really want to examine. Getting lucky with the top punch removes about 3/4's of the adventure of buying a new mould.

I have all kinds of 41 cal bullet shapes...except for pointy...no pointy molds for me.
I even have a 41 with HP...and I don't even like HP cast bullets.

Another 414 SM shooter I am ! Contender, Dan Wesson and a 336 Marlin.

WC's and the 41s are superb shoot anything type ammo. Imagine a 265 grainer chugging along at 1150 fps cast of 50/50 smacking a corn cruncher at under 30 yards !

I have only one 41 caliber mould, the Lyman #410032. Its "spec'ed" top punch is the same as that for the 38 SWCs like #358429, #358156, and #358477. Darned if I can recall the T/P number offhand. The bullet shoot LIGHTS OUT in every 41 I've owned, sized at .411".
