Sellier Bellot Primers

I bought these a year ago and emailed S&B about what looks and acts like oil in the tray. It doesn't cause any harm but if they were intended to be lubed they would have been made with a grease fitting. Each one has to be picked free by hooking under the anvil - I wiped them after flipping.fullsizeoutput_ea9.jpeg S&B never cared to get back to me.

Wow, oil on new primers. Sounds like a manufacturing issue to me.

I hope this doesn’t turn into another variable we need to control and experiment with- primer lube! More gray hair...

Someplace along the line it is obvious that that
box at least got oil contaminated. Hard telling
just where, but most likely the factory. I have
Loaded and shot probably 5-6 S&B primers of
all different sizes in the past couple of years. I
have had no problems, and no duds that I can
remember.

This is the brick number. I like the things, especially when Cabela's sold them for $19 - which is another story in the post-BassPro era. Their shooting shelves look like 2013.fullsizeoutput_eaa.jpeg
