Shout Out To Rotometals

Rotometals special blended and sent me three pounds for free (their offer) after I emailed them the idea for the alloy. That was a pretty generous good-faith gesture for something that might or might not turn them any profit. I did my best to give them their money's worth of data.

This is my 2nd order from Rotometals, a few years back I ordered 15# of tin to blend with unalloyed lead. That stuff got here in a few days' time also. Rotometals doesn't lollygag around, IME.

I just got a small 25lb order of 1:20 in the other day from Rotometals. Fast service.

After getting my hands on some 31 lb. nuclear medicine containers (or whatever you call them) I hit up Rotometals for some 5 lb. bars of superhard and some tin nuggets for mixing. I do like how they really seem to cater to bullet casters specifically with lots of very specific items. Nice to see that from a CA company.

I'm going to call them today and see if they can do a run of nuggets in their super-hard alloy again. I really like their nuggets as I can just slip them into the pot and its easier to mix a 20lb alloy up when the components are a in those sizes versus their larger bars.

I can see where superhard nuggets would be nice. I used the calculator and figured 2x containers and a 5 lb bar of SH was a decent mix for what I needed so the bars were perfect. I did like the nuggets of tin for ease of use.

They offer free shipping on some orders over $100. So if I need 5-10 pounds of a specific alloy, I'll order that and then add pure lead ingots to the order to get it to the $100 threshold. I generally prefer to pay less for lead than they charge, but it works out with the free shipping when I need a particular known alloy.
