Simple target

Normally, I use either a printed target with one inch squares or a 50 ft. slow fire indoor target with a 3" black bullseye. Neither, shows up well using a non magnified red dot sight or a low power conventional scope. I do a lot of carbine and pistol shooting from 60 yards. This is what I came up with.

Sheet of typing paper, red ink, ruler and a masking tape spool for the almost 3" circle. Can't see the lines at 60 yards but that's make you concentrate on the middle of the paper. I'm liking the results.

Been practicing with the RH, this Winter on mild days. Shot seated, at 60 yards, in tent blind with just a tripod front rest.

That works well for you. FIL worked at a print shop and gave me a large stack of 9x9 heavy paper they were going to toss. Made diagonal crosses from corner to corner that worked for me with a scoped contender at 50 yards.

Both options work well for you guys. I use cereal boxes myself. I cut the front & back for paper targets. For scoped rifles I can use more than one bullseye.

<-----Life-long cereal killer. Oatmeal or Cream of Wheat is a cool-weather breakfast favorite here.

My paper target preferences are simple--one of those Leupold "checker-boards" for scoped rifles, black round bull's-eye on buff or white backgrounds for anything iron-sighted. And I absolutely LOVE shooting steel reactive targets.

Not a fan of steel, reactive targets, on my home range. Leads to unnecessary, unrecovered lead. I prefer to recycle my bullets.

Typical years worth of shooting.
