It a wry joke around here that we have what the eggspurts call a "500 year flood" about once or twice a decade.Having witnessed two 500 year flash floods here back to back...m
Ian just move slow like a old man, sorry for your bad news 4thI feel like Duke and the leaky window. Started in on cleaning the mess from countless projects in the shop, throwing a way a bunch of crap I'll never use, organizing small parts in bin boxes, and cleaning to make way for the next half-dozen or so major gun projects which are on the itinerary/docket. Back is still royally screwed up but I have a spine doc appointment first thing Monday in the big city, hopefully he'll be able to convince my insurance that an MRI is needed, my PCP's request was denied because I "declined physical therapy" as a first action. I don't want to manage the pain, I need to know what exactly is causing it so THEN we can work out a treatment plan, not spitball all the usual cheaper things hoping I will go away. Anyway, in the meantime I can putter around in my mess and try to make some sense of it so I can start thinking about the next gun to build.
I keep thinking about Buckshot calling his shop "the wreck of the Horus", I certainly think that applies here.
I was up in the reloading room today, looking for an item and ya know, before I can start the next reloading batch of "whatever", I should do a cleaning/organizing as well. Weeks back, when I discovered the bad RL12 powder can, I had to move everything into a pile that was sitting near enough to get some powder spilled on it ...I cleaned up powder, but the "pile" of everything remains on the middle of the desk, LOL. Part of that pile was stuff from Sept 2024 gunshow (tools/items/notebook/labels), haven't put away yet, LOL....now that is lazy.I feel like Duke and the leaky window.
