Put some 140-grain jacketed/IMR 4350 test rounds through the scouterized Swede. A productive session, except for the 10:30 98* temperature.

Two more days of this miserable heat, than the temperature is scheduled to drop down to a seasonal and comfortable 69*.

Just one of those days were it's just to damn nice out to do much of anything except be outside. 78 degrees and 32% humidity, only thing I managed all day except drinks out on the deck was the 1 1/2 pound rib-eye I just threw on the fire. Life is tough huh?

For you guys that aren't retired yet from experience I can highly recommend it. :)

Whipped out a .431+ push thru sizer. The Star wasn’t real happy sizing down some PCd bullets so I made this to save wear and tear on the Star.
Pretty happy, took maybe 40 min start to finish with one of Keith’s blanks.

102* outside and 88* inside, and too miserably hot to do anything except complain about how miserably hot it is.

Got all of my 6.5cm and 338lm loaded for a long range shooting trip in a couple weeks. Trying to decide on a side iron to take.

Really going to be spending most of our time trying out our new Bullseye camera system while trying to break 2000 yards.
A little rimfire and pistol action in the evening will be in order though.

Made two new targets at work. One is 36”x36”x1/4” A-36 and the swinger is 3/8” AR-500 for distance shooting (1000 we hope) with the rifles. It is a 4/12” plate. B1D45F1F-7862-4B07-9CF6-BAF0AF044662.jpeg17021CB6-0BE8-40F3-B0B7-EFA85A36A116.jpeg

I saw a video where a guy made targets that look just like those.......

How well does the A36 hold up down range? Is that what your existing 1000 yard target is made from?

1000 yard target is AR-500. That .338LM zips right through mild steel at that distance. I think we will be okay at 2K with the mild.

Brad, it sounds like you're ready to give up pharmacology and go to work in a job shop, where the real money is. $15.00/hr.

Looking online at some ballistic calculators your bullet will still be going 1000 FPS or so at 2K yards. Dents will be a certainty. Holes are possible?

stress?
man,, if Walter gets caught goofing off like that he is gonna get fired, now that's stress.

just went around town running errands for the most part today.
helped Littlegirl fill in a gap in the cement next to her house with some flex seal stuff, we will pour a cement patch over the top of it tomorrow.
went out on her patio for a while afterwards then realized it was after 6 and I still hadn't re-potted the bell pepper plants, or watered the plants that survived the cold Saturday night.

the plants got watered.
