Gotcha Wine. I'm a,cheap lite beer and hot sauce conisuer.

It kinda sucks....Chef Prudome gets the fashionable credit for bringing the "blackened" technique to the forefront...... sheet,my wife has been blackening pretty much everything she puts on the stove for years?

Town board meeting last night. Not getting specific, but dang man! Every time things get straightened out and start looking good, some outfit up the food chain craps on us. The state took away $5300.00 in aid, the County and our sole city want to take a great big hunk more of our sales tax $ and the state says we've undervalued our properties and want more money. Out little towns budget is just shy of $1m and this has a huge effect on a 1/3 of our revenue. Meanwhile, I have people asking me how come we don't LOWER taxes while at the same time asking why their road hasn't been paved in 15 years!!!

Got a little more hay down. Weather is iffy. Heck with it! Knock it down before the snow starts and hope for the best.

Before the snow starts...... I would HOPE that the first snow fall is at least a month and a half away, even
in your semi-arctic location, Bret. Yikes!

I'll bet that is just a joke. :)

Well, seeing as the weather liars are just that.....

I am very lazy when it comes to changing tractor implements. And fully understand real pros for owning more than one "ride". But,it ain't raining and we're on the edge of brown out. So took the mower off the back of "Blue" (hotrod New Holland) and put the hillbilly scraper thingy on and been running me and Cokes woods trails.... really does a nice job of dressing the trails. Like, spoiled rotten nice trails..... somebody is wore out.20190814_123000_resized(1).jpg

Back to CB rigs..... you know how a Tyler T grip is the doodoo for K frame Smith's? On so many levels too.... fashion, ergos,$$,etc.

I/we need a T grip to slip on a factory stock to get more "vertical" on the pistol grip. Gauge metal would work.

I have a nightly glass of cheap red wine. It's good for the heart, don't you know.

Never was able to gag down any red wine, couldn't understand how anyone could drink it. But, clearly
I am in the minority on that.:headscratch:

Yeah, joking Bill. It's a good 2 months away... ;)

Gord and I knocked down a mess of hay today. I let him drive the "modern" tractor (1968) with the "nice" haybine (9 footer with stub guards) while I drove the ancient '48 Cockshutt with the dinky old 7 foot haybine with the standard guards. I did the rocky, nasty little field corners and cul de sacs in 1st gear, getting my teeth rattled, while he was out there cruising along on the flatland in the easy going. I guess I better get to work on the round baler!

Good, I thought as much. :)

I had to look up haybine, never heard of it. Sickle bar mowers and hay rakes is all I ever saw, then the old chugging
square baler. But all my knowledge is at least 50 years out of date. Never even been around a round baler. I have
seen them running and even saw a few with them opening up to birth a new bale, but no idea how they work their
magic.

Make that two of us. I just about don't drink at all anymore, and wine is low on the list of things I'd spend money on anyway, almost as low as beer. Single-malt Islay Scotch, now that's something worth drinking occasionally. ;)

Hey, cheap wine is only $2.98 a bottle. Viet Nam cured me of the hard stuff, and bet I've not had enough to fill a 750 ml bottle since '69.

I'm not a wine drinker either, the stuff just tears me up. Even at a wedding 2-3 glasses of Champaign and I'm hung over for two days. Probably haven't had collectively a full bottle of wine since 69 either. Probably for the better, gotta make sure there's plenty for Mr. & Mrs. Winelover.

College cured me of liking Thunderbird, Franzia, and MD 20/20 almost instantly. Good on you for it not being the other way around.

Cooking with wine leaves NO booze left, just 'flavor'. You really have that rifle leaning on a log? Loaded?
Cardio guy changed appt. to do a scan, supposed to get with neurologist next. Can't seem to stay away from them docs. Left eye got dark Fri, then yesterday, held my hand in front of eye and only saw top half - while I was talking to docs assist. Didn't last long but had carotid done several years back from same problem. Got to find if it's clot from leg or carotid or a nerve problem. Wife was wondering if a brain tumor - gee gal be positive!

No tylenol today at all, mowed for a while with the stander, too. More and more times that I entirely
forget about the knee, too. THAT is what I am looking for.
