Jeez, Ian, talk about drinking the dregs. I never drank any of the three you listed, but at least a $3 bottle of Fox Brook Merlot, Shiraz, or Cabernet tastes better than ordinary table wine.

The wife loves her wine. Both red and white. I like some of it to an extent. Others no. I drink cheap lite beer(Bush Latte)
I like a nice bourbon now and again.

I like a glass of wine with dinner at times. When on vacation in Europe it seems to be there every night.
I have learned to appreciate a nice hard cider more than anything. Ace Perry is a favorite. My daughter lives near an orchard that makes one with some peaches in it, that is good too.

Tried them all, multiple times, never could get the hang of it. Pretty much gave up on it all.
More for you guys.

you can have mine too.
I have only tried one wine I ever liked, I guess it was just that one year cause the same stuff hasn't tasted the same since.
it's not worth the bother.

Popper, I hope they figure it out and get it under control quick, that's scary stuff. Likely not a tumor, she didn't just take out a policy on you did she? LoL!

Agreed on much the flavored sugar water spiked with 7% grain alcohol and food coloring tasting better than "real" wines. One I used to like was Beringer's white Zinfandel (actual wine, I think?) The '97 and '98 were good, but '99 was bitter and for years I kept trying it and finally got tired if having to pour it out. Tried other brands of WZ, always too dry, sour, or bitter.

Hard cider I can do and have brewed a bunch of apple wine in the past (when I had access to bird-pecked, free fruit at different times), along with meade. Never got into brewing fizzy stuff, always racked it until clear so it didn't blow the corks.

naw it was yellow tail from Australia, it was a nice yellow color.
smooth and fruity and wet, obviously still a wine but so much better than the tannon after tasting stuff I have always found.
I think they crush the seeds and not the grape itself for most of the wine out there.

Not much of a drinker, generally. I cut out the Chivas Regal in 1981 when I got diagnosed with diabetes, and cut 'way back on the beer and wine as well. As of about March 2015 I cut all alcoholic beverages OUT entirely when the Atrial Fibrillation was noted.

Is it loaded,I say yes..... is it condition "1",I say no. But whatever or,however others see it is fine by me.

I like my wine, probably too much :embarrassed:

Yellow tail was excellent in the early years, then the original farmer/vintner sold out to a Big Corp, and we know what occurs 99% of the time with any business, when that happens :(

Cutting the Big Oak, Day 3 (this was yesterday).

One tank of gas in the small saw was all that was needed for getting all the Brush and small logs cut and pulled off the field so the farmer can plow or disk or whatever, I hope he doesn't do anything until spring, but I haven't talked to him to know his plans?

Next will be more YANKING with my Truck, but the peat is still to wet to drive on it. More rain predicted for tonight :(
I am too sore today to do anymore cutting, so I'll just stay home and play in the garden. BUT, I may go out there this evening (before the rain) and see if the peat is dry enough to drive on, and maybe just tug on the log, and see if I can get it on the ground.

They told me at PT today that Monday will be my last session, they are tossing me out.  :D:p:D

I'll go on an "after care" exercise program at the gym where the PT facility is situated. No hands on but
a exercise plan designed for me by my PT folks and any consulting is covered with a $35 a month fee,
which seems dirt cheap to me.

So, about to graduate from PT. Hit 120 deg flex again today, so that is at the desired goal. I want
to continue to see if it can go farther and to make it easily go to 120 in the future, instead of max
effort, hard against the stops.

A good day. Tylenol this AM in anticipation of PT, but didn't take any when they timed out this PM.

Had an appointment scheduled to replace the RV's awning fabric. Drove the 20-miles to the shop only to be told the guy who was to do the job called out, because "his mother-in-law took a turn for the worse." The good news is that another shop (unknown to me till after I was back home) can do the job for $195 less, but I'm waiting a return phone call to schedule a time.

The dealer we bought the motorhome from is really proud of their work -- their hourly shop rate is $225.

Parked the motorhome in its storage spot, at the local airport, and counted 34 private and corporate jets that are here for the 10-day Car Week, and many more are parked in an area that was not visible. The area's three inter-connected towns have a population of some 90,000, but 80,000 visitors, tourists, and the idle rich and their hangers-on are expected to clog our already inadequate streets and roads.

Don't know why it was here, but saw a B-24 take off and leave behind one of life's coolest sounds.

Bill,

Your medical insurance carrier may be hooked up with the Silver Sneakers program, which is a free gym membership. My wife and I are covered and signed up with a local gym, but have never worked out there because we don't like being round all the people and noise.

You may want to check into it.
