oh.
and no I don't want to hear about it being 90+ degrees where you are, I'm perfectly happy with 60 being our high, it'll warm up some for a bit here pretty soon.

Yeah, after all July isn't that far off.

woohoo.
I was talking to Littlegirl about your moving today, she wishes y'all good luck.
then she mentioned both the Fri the 13th and the full moon thing, I told her it'd be okay because it will rain at some point during the move.

anyway,,, avoid I-80 during the winter.

Van Lines will move the household. Machinery mover will move lathe, mill and 2 other rather heavy pieces. Car trans will move Mom's truck. Mom and I will team-drive my truck towing the mini-van so that we won't have to stop at any hotels.

I-80 is way too far north.

Been pretty busy here. Did the funeral/calling hours thing yesterday. Been going over and helping with milking and such. Half the cows went Wednesday, a few yesterday and the rest should be gone today. Last night we showed up for milking and everyone is milling around. Vacuum pump (powers the milkers) won't start. Farted around for an hour or so with everyone checking things and determined it was time for a professional. So on the day these folks buried their son, the day before they get rid of the last of the cows (and lose their livelihood) these folks had to call in a professional company man to fix a milking system at who knows how much an hour! When it rains, it pours I guess. My heart is breaking for them, but there isn't a thing else we can do. It stinks.

Might hit an auction Saturday. Supposed to be some vehicles there. The S15 ate the radish when it overheated. Head gasket or cracked head I imagine. I don't see much sense in putting any real money in a 99 S15 2wd that has rocker panels held on with bungy cord! More $$$ out the door.

Hangin out in Newark at the airport. I love weather delays.

Didn't know that Newark had a airport. Aunt lived in Newark, worked in New York City. She always flew out of New York, to visit us in Detroit.

BTW, Newark was a slum, back in the 60's. Was worse than Detroit, IMO. We would visit her, regularly, in the Summer.

Our Archery seasons opens on the 28th of September..................long range forecast has us still in the low 80's. :sigh: Guess, I won't start hunting til sometime in October.

OK, the weather folks have,we'll say state of the art technology to;

Basically create hurricane "models" that effectively follow the eastern U.S. coastline....

No wedding pix handy, but all went well. After the reception we were standing there trying to decide what to do. My cave diving buddy was there, and his wife, and we decided to go on a cave dive, while the wives swam and took in the sun. We went to Ginnie Springs and dove there and Devil's Eye, nearby. Great fun- central Florida cave diving in the middle 70s.

Watching Ford GT 40s, Lola T70s, and other early-mid 60s sports racers next today at Goodwood.

yeah winter in September.
I dunno how it goes down your way but a coat/jacket is in fashion all year round where I live.
it's taken for granted there is one in the car or truck when a kid wants a nap or you need something to put over a window, or if the wind changes direction in July.

we got snow laid down in the high elevations out of that last storm that blew through, it was only 6-8 inches but there it was.
it doesn't take much for another storm to roll in behind this little cold spell and make it a permanent thing.
that's probably why most transplants only make it through one winter.

When I escaped from SoCal driving the truck & towing the trailer I ran into a full on blizzard in NM on the southern route on I-40. Was planning on making OK before stopping for a motel but the storm made a sudden change in plans kind of important. Wasn't September though, a bit different weather in February.

Whah! Been chasing horses all morning, my own this time. Finally figured out where and how they were escaping. Just strung 100 feet of electric fence and hooked it to a charger that will do 6 joules in a 30 mile fence! Lets see you put your nose under that and lift the wire, ya miserable nags!!!!!

They are hooking up the water and sewer lines to the building today. Monday morning the electrical contractor will start installing the 400 amp meter box and some interior lighting and outlets to facilitate further work. Plumber to deliver one-piece handicapped shower stall next week so the carpenters can frame around it. Once power is turned on the carpenters are ready to come in and finish framing of office and bathroom. Then we can seal the floor and think about moving the equipment. Finally seems like things are speeding up a little bit.

Might want to turn that thing down a tad unless you like waking horses.
Newark was a slum, back in the 60's err, swamp!! And oil storage!
Airport was just called Newark when I flew out of it. Walk out on the tarmak and climb the stairway. (oh and get on and off 3 times due to bomb threats).
