Decreasing radii downhill turn?
Exactly.
Twenty-years ago(?), I took a one-day driving course (Barber Saab formula car) and found the corner difficult.
The Corkscrew is deceiving easy, despite it looking otherwise, thanks in part to gravity and the hill's natural contour. The drop from the turn's entrance to its exit is 10 stories.

you don't try to apex a corner like that, you try to avoid the center of the turn and only apex the point on the exit.
think about making a left turn off a one way street onto another one way street in a semi and you have to keep the trailers tires off that light pole.

Yup go into it too fast and (on a bike) hard to slow and no lean allowed (rode the gutter). Co sponsored some SCCA and Legends drivers, both crashes caused the Co to quit sponsor of employees. Tim did buy a new (used) car frame for his next try. Both had badly crushed legs. Not as bad a the guy who just bought a new big Harley and dumped it in gravel while still paying for it. Ins. didn't quite pay the bills. She sold my GS450 when I was tad in Fl - didn't even ask.

I hobbled out to the Garden this morning, before the Heat set in. Did some weeding. I found and ate my first Cherry tomato (sweet 100 hybrid). I also seen two tomatoes starting to turn purple on one of the new tomato variety that I'm trying for the first time "Purple Boy hybrid" (a mid sized tomato) ...Dang that's earlier than the Taxi, which should be starting to turn anytime, but not yet today.

Knee is getting better, but still a ways to go. Staples came out on Monday. I can put full weight on it, and I can walk it some, but mostly am using one crutch. Still doing all the PT, but it seems the cardio exercise I get when I'm outside in the yard/garden in this hot/humid weather is many times better for me, as least in the pain med department.

Harvested my first batch of Red Beets today ....nice 3 1/2" bodies super sweet! The Greens and stems were so nice ( no leaf miner damage ) Steamed the greens first and then the stems....not much waste on these guys! "Derby" Green beans are ready to be picked ( took a chance and started them early) Temps have been in the 90's with out any rain so I decided to put out sprinklers
Japanesse beetles have been bad .... Hit the Basil hard in the gardens but the ones I have in pot by the house have seened to escape. Hatch type chillis seem to finally taken off with the heat wave....My Grenada Chillis are doing great in the pots by the house but not in the gardens

We are trying to chain off of the Parking areas on the property because Biden is making a visit tomorrow right next door to us at Mc'Greggor Industries
Construction crews Vehicles are everywhere! Secret Service due any time this evening!
I doubt they will allow our normal garbage pick up to take place tomorrow morning !
Not sure if we should open the property up to parking ( for a Price ) or chain it closed!
I'm sure this evening and tomorrow the woodchucks will be celebrating in my gardens!!!! Cease fire Time!

Was able to hook up the BIL with a decent Winchester Model 61. He picked it up and opened the action to check the chamber with no hesitation. Just as he remembered from using his dad’s years ago. He was sure happy.

We drink lots of coffee together, and on occasion, something a little stronger. We were sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck having a good chat and he suddenly busted into tears. His dad’s Model 61 went to the older brother, and he figured he would never find one like his dad’s, so it was a bit overwhelming for him to get this one.

Both of us having been sailors, him Navy and me Coast Guard, we have a bond that is not shared with his other siblings or their spouses.

JW,
Me, I'd put rope it off. No amount of money is worth putting up with a crowd of unknown people milling round my property. Don't know them, don't want to know them, don't want their money.

The potato bugs are on the down hill slide. Next year i am going to have to plant my potatoes on the porch in pots.
Today i was running my new Lee 22 cal 50 gr. mold trying to find the best cadence for pouring uniform bullets. Goodsteels post on CB helped me to learn how to document how i cast and what sequence works best. Today i tried 4 different timing sequences and i went from 1/3 cull rate to under 5 bullets for 125 cast bullets.

Make 'em pay. Every dollar you take from them is one less they can use to do harm.
