Loaded with the Cowboy dies right? Right? And use the Cowboy crimp die too. Crimp just enough to roll the case mouth under the front driving band. Use brass fired and sized the same number of times from the same lot#.

:headscratch:Wouldn't have it any other way.;)

You shooting the 300gr RCBS makes me wanna try the lee 310. Seated long it would be pretty close to the rifling.

Problem is my lee 310 mold only cast a little over .430. A .431 sizing die might scuff 1 out of 10 bullets.

I know a 310gr bullet shouldn’t stabilize in a 1-38” twist but I like to see things for myself.

I wonder how much throats vary on Marlin rifles.
I know that many talk of the great results they had in their Marlin 357 yet mine is horrendous. John gets far better results in his 44 mag than I get with mine. My 32-20 and 45 Colt are very good shooters.

I have some RCBS dies and will give them a shot. On initial checks the sizer doesn’t appear much different in dimension from my Hornady. I do know my Hornady seater required some modification to handle .433 bullets well.

Just placed an order for a vise for the mill. Good thing they had a promotion for free shipping. Shipping would have been $49.30 and that is UPS ground!

You gotta be a short timer on getting that mill now huh? Remember, when that truck backs into the driveway NO wetting your pants with excitement.

dang man and I thought STAG shipping took forever.

that poor guy in the Taiwan must be swamped.
pouring each part by hand and then filing every piece to fit, before putting it on his donkey to take it to the shipyard has really slowed down some since he hit 99.

Mill should be in PA now. Need the DRO installed and to have things checked for shipping damage.
I expect an email any day for final payment and making final shipping arrangements.

Spent better than 700 bucks today just to make the mill useable. And I still don’t have any endmills!

Isn't that what you have been doing for many weeks now?
It was on backorder at the time. I knew it was mid October delivery when order was placed. At the time I placed the order over half the shipment was spoken for.

Powder coat them to make up the size.

Don't own any 44 moulds over 265 grains..............don't need the recoil or the rainbow trajectory. Not hunting anything larger than whitetails. If I want to throw a big chunk of lead, I just use my Remmy 1100 slug gun. Surprised that Rick's 300 SWC that was HP'ed, weighs 301 grains, naked..........with my alloy.

Over, thirty years ago, I tried some commercial cast (Bull X) 300 grain LFP's in the Marlin. They had to be single loaded, accuracy wasn't that bad, IIRC............ but I'm not interested a single shot lever. o_O My gun will feed and cycle the RCBS 240 SWC GC, unlike many others. The RCBS 300 SWC doesn't balk, either, even though it's nose is significantly longer.

Right now, I waiting on a replacement mould from MiHec. Got in at the end of a Group Buy for a 44-250 RF HP (.434 dia)...............gas check shanks were undersized. Only checks that would stay on were Sage's aluminum for undersized shanks.............copper aren't offered. Expecting it soon, cause MiHa just sent an email, requesting my address.

Well, for the first time since May, I watched money, actually rain, fall out of the sky. We got enough to shut the lawn sprinklers down for the year, as it will frost tomorrow or the next day. Red maple tress are dropping their leaves.

Toured the Boneyard (Davis-Monthan) and a Titan II missile site (museum) today in Tucson
area.

It is mind blowing to see about 400 C-130s parked together close, or 500 TA-4s. Amazing
and sad sights. Tomorrow the Pima Air and Space Museum.

seein as how I was up with the puppy I decided to wake the wife up 5 minutes after she was supposed to be at work. [3:05 A.M.]
I thought it was funny, the puppy thought it was funny, her boss may or may not have thought it was funny too,,,,, especially since it's their day off.
I will probably have some peace and quiet today, unless her boss comes over.

Would like to say I was going to the range but I don’t shoot in the rain. I don’t like wet guns, wet brass, or wet me.
After 5 days of rain or drizzle I am ready for some sun.

Today makes 40 consecutive days with rain or drizzle. I don't think I ever remember that happening here before. Funny thing is we're not flooded, it's mostly just been annoyance rain.
