Back when I was at Stark Tech. (now Stark State) back in 19sumptin.
We built an electric car. Kinda a conglomeration between, Auto Tech, Machine trades, and Electronic engineering departments.
It was basically a stripped down 1980 Honda Accord Hatch back, with a supped up 36 volt fork lift motor, the original trans axle modified a bit.
13 12 volt batteries.
12 for the motor.
One battery powered by a single wire GM alternator to give power to the 12 volt stuff.
Had a top speed of 50 mph and a range of 80 miles.
Boy they sure have come a long way with those electric cars since then.

Guy at work just paid 80 bucks for 50 round of reloaded fmj 38 special. Crazy.

12 seconds? why'd they bring the slow one?
I can do low 12's with just over 300 hp in the Mustang.
throw a gear change at it and it's down in the 11's, throw some 12" wide strip tires on it, hook up the supercharger belt and it flirts with 10 seconds.
that isn't changing the shock settings or really messing with anything.

what's fun though is just zooming off at a green light in a smart car.
everyone pulls up next to you and just looks at you like they never seen anything like it.

Today, hover craft trip out on the Mississippi River back waters. The doldrums are over. I applied sun block before I left and can still feel a bit of sun burn. First pick is a great example of black versus white crappie. Click on the photo and they clear up and enlarge.

I went to my first gun show in over a year.
Lots of powder and primers.
Primers were $250 K.
Powder was $80-100 pound.
I did buy 25# 0f 7 1/2 shot for $10.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
Huh. I have 1000 new in the box Hornady 150x30cal SP still in the plastic wrap they came in. Wonder what they're worth to some of these fools?

I don't know who these people with all that money are either.
between the gun boards I surf and the guy's I know that shoot they are all saying the same thing as here.
I see one or two here and there that might pay a little extra for something, but it's something they don't have right now and they certainly ain't paying 25-50 cents a primer.
many of them are buying off their fellow reloaders, and some are loaning components with the proviso that they are merely replaced.
it's when I'm seeing 200 dollar pistol powders and 35-38$ a lb. rifle powders, plus empty shelves of other components in the LGS, I kinda start getting worried.
is that the new price?
or are they just holding out for a bit more because they can't get the stuff either?
why aren't the bullet shelves stocked up?
there's only like 1-2 places in town to get components and one is a pretty large chain that should be able to buy large quantities.

Waiting for the mist to burn off so I can saw some wood for JonB. Supposed to rain this afternoon. Sigh...
