Lamar, why does she think you need to go to the Dr?
Maybe you should.
Us guys tend to ho hum some medical issues that need attention.

Wives are inherently naggy and their mother instinct is often viewed as extreme by us manly men, but when it comes to health concerns my wife's nudging and urging is usually more correct than my poo-pooing them.

Measurable morning rain -- the first in eight months -- has me debating whether to take the 03A3 and some test loads and slog back and forth through the mud between the bench and the 100-yard targets, or take a revolver or two and shoot the reactive steel targets and not muddy my boots. I'll decide after breakfast, but the 03A3 is scoring some pretty good points.

Crap. Tore into the skid steer. Thought I had the parts I needed. Nope. Sheeesh. It's probably good I got further into it as there was a sprocket ready to bust, but I have to find a part made of unobtainum. Got a message in to a guy some parts from, hoping he has what I need. At least the rain has held off.

The 03A3 won the debate and I slogged through the mud. As I predicted would happen, three or four weeks ago, the RCBS 30-180-SP and 20-grains of 2400 beat out the 16.0-grain load.

The Ideal 308291 and three different loads of 2400 was a loser. If I remember correctly it's done well with Unique, but ReLoder 7* will be up next.
*I do not like fancy inventive spelling, and try to keep abbreviations and acronyms usage, in this case RX7 or RL7, to a minimum.

After lunch we all went for a walk in the after-rain fresh-smelling piney woods.

FINALLY getting time and setup (after the big new house move a year ago) to load some. Managed to organize all my hunting rifle reload stock on hand, and determine what I needed to load that I knew would work (still have some calibers I don't have a tested hunt load for...). Loaded 6.5x55 and 35 Rem. Have 40 45-70 cases ready to stuff. Goal is to have min of 60 rds of tested and zeroed hunting ammo for every rifle caliber. Still have some rifles that I have to get the reload "hunt load" worked up for - 222 Rem/358 Win/38-55/32 WS are on that list.

Also learning a new RCBS Chargemaster Supreme Electronic Powder Dispenser. Some glitches, and an adjustment from Lyman/RCBS manual powder dispensers and balance beam scale. But think I am going to like it.

I finally got to a position where I could do some upgrading. The Chargemaster is one, and an RCBS furnace is another (upgrade from a Coleman stove/cast iron pot!). I AM still dipping tho. Another upgrade is the Frankford Arsenal Platinum case trimmer/prep center. I am enjoying it so far as well.

Decided I was getting older/had discretionary funds (all 5 boys grown/no more sports expenses, etc)/doing things on the cheap with make-shift stuff was just a pita - and I earned it. Finally where I wish I had been able to get 15 yrs ago. But, now I also have TIME to use the good stuff! and of course, then comes, back to back two grandkids! I gotta move FAST!!!!!

Well I while back I mentioned that I was dieting. Karyn and I have been very serious about loosing weight as we know how hard it is on your health when your packing a bunch of extra. I started at 207.
Besides doing seam testing of all your clothes.
On that chart in the Dr’s office I was just across the line into the beginning of obesity. Well I have been there and looking at that chart ever year for 10 years. Always right there and the Doc waging here finger at me say how I should fix it. So Karyn and I together finally decided to fix it.
well couple weeks ago I was back in to the Doc’s and she was pleased with the change. She also cut my heart medication in half.
So I had reached my original goal of 175 a while back, but decided to continue on to 165 with a reevaluation at 170. I’m punching new holes my second belt since starting to endeavor.

Man that’s some seriously white feet. 170.8. I’m going for 165. I’m feeling good.
Got a gun show today, going shopping. A guy I know has been dragging a Savage 99 in 30-30 to his table for 3 or 4 years now and I think I’ll see if he’s ready to lower his price. Nothing special just clean shooter.

Good for you, John.

The Body Mass Index was introduced during Clinton's reign. The moment the head of Health and Human Services, Donna Shalala, foisted it upon the country, untold millions of Americans were suddenly deemed to be either overweight or obese. The index uses only age and weight as its criteria. A 35-year old, six-foot,180-pound, large framed man who lifts weights, runs, plays sports, eats a healthy diet, and has a physically demanding job has the same index number as a 35-year old, six-foot,180-pound, small framed, flabby, junk-food eating man who is a lay-about couch potato.

Well, I didn't get to make the trip to Wyoming with the boys for Mule deer and antelope, was put on quarantine two days before due to leave. My oldest daughter went to the hospital with covid and ended up on a ventilator. She is off the vent for several days now and about due to come home. Wife got down a couple days after quarantine ended, she hadn't been taking the vitamins and fluids like directed. Went into the hospital and got an iv so didn't have much choice in the matter. Finally came home yesterday. No question that I had it too, but being the only non-couch potato at home and the fact that I immediately swiped some injectable ivermectin from my brothers dog kennel and took it, i was back to hiking the hills for exercise within 2 days. I have talked to quite a few in the area who also took it on recommendation of drs and were amazed at the difference with those who didn't take it. 2-3 cc's in a glass of juice does the trick if taken early.

That BMI scale made Arnooold a morbidly obese wreck at the peak of his Mr Universe and action hero career too .....

I was a mess for 2 weeks Christmas 19' I've been on tonic and OJ since 3/20 with barely a sniffle . I don't if it's working or not but I like not being sick .

Took some stuff to the daughter's ranch. SIL hit a deer that took out the front bumper/grill of his SUV. No recovery and duck tape did hold for a while. Crews had cleaned up , ready to replant trees, dam for the lake is started. Discussed where to put his 200 yd shooting lane. Finished the roller stand converted to rifle rest. Took off the roller, knocked out the rod and padded with2 layers of foam pipe insulation. Left at the ranch for them to use until he gets the range built.

Good for you John!!!!!

Actually, the BMI test helped a lot of guys like me out. I look fat, always, no matter if I am or not. The Job said "Morbidly Obese" began at 22% and then they could make you go to a doc and do a mess of other stuff. They checked me, knowing for sure, (as did I!) that I was prime candidate. I can still see the look on the guys face doing the test and the retest, and the retest of the retest- 15%. Lots of disappointed people that day as I wasn't the only one that the test saved.

The sun made a brief appearance after last nights frost. Hacked the lawn down, so now it can snow. It doesn't HAVE to snow mind you, but the lawn is ready if it does!

Nothing exciting today. Helped son install 50ft ethernet cable to his room. He was having issues with the wifi so i opened my mouth, and told him about ethernet. Not expensive but created myself work.

Well I got my Citrus trees back in the house today and of course I'm hurting...Every year they get bigger and now it is a major job getting back inside. The lime tree still has about 50 limes on it, which added to the weight. Hope they don't decide to all fall off at once now that the are in the inside environment! Tangerine I started for a seed 30 years ago but it never has had fruit. The lime I started from seed 20 years ago and every other year the tree gets full of fruit.
Wether here today was only in the low 50's Big change from last week
