About 25-years-ago, I ran a pathway with pavers left over from when I laid the patio. The shifting ex-seabed sands of time, multiple earthquakes, rascally gophers, and rotting pressure treated wood have caused it to to be other than level in places. Pulled up and stacked 275 9"X6"X2 1/2"pavers, not counting the 72
half-pavers. Now to make plans to re-do it. A two Tylenol project.

you'll be walking better than Ken... LOL.

got a new router today.
took a few minutes to sorta figure out the tie in to the system, but once i got it things started working better than before, i guess the next step is trying to tie in the satellite box so i can watch netflix again.
i got no idea what the pass word is [shrug] since i only use it maybe once a month but it is nice to watch a movie or TV show something/anything commercial free, without having to record it and click through everything.

AWESOME DALE!!
I dont understand why... But they say that hip replacements are generally quite easy on patients.

Glad that seems how yours is going.

A very good friend is waffling on his. He desperately needs it. But his wife dosent drive and he is concerned about logistics.

He has two sons both hood boys 25/32years living close by one 1/4 mile away one 7 miles Plus we have offered anything he needs. We are less then 4 miles away.

My jacketed bullet stash is stored in one of those heavy plastic totes with the bifold lid. It resides on a shelf at the bottom of my reloading bench. Just used for ballast. Can't recall when I loaded a jacketed bullet. Been here ten years, since I moved, and I know I haven't.

Stopped in at the LGS, yesterday. Those $81/brick primers (limit one per customer) are almost gone. Maybe half dozen left. :headbang: One pound of W 296 and four pounds of Leverevolution. While I waited my turn, I perused the handgun offerings.

To my surprise they had a couple of newly introduced Ruger Wrangler (22LR) with the birds head grip and 3 1/12" barrel for $219 in all black ceracote or the bronze two tone.

I talked with the owner's son and asked about the Wrangler. Said they are real popular and customers are happy with them. Said he's had customers buy ten at a time and give them as gifts to their grandkids.

Or a head cold. I thought it was just allergies until two days later at work everyone was sick to different degrees and testing positive for Wuhan, so per company policy I got tested (that was four days after first symptoms) via lab test and bingo. By the time I tested I was essentially over it. My wife never had symptoms and didn't test since we were quarantining anyway. Weird stuff, but stuck people I know personally seem to have a lot easier time of it even when getting Delta, but just about EVERYONE in the community is getting "Covid Light) regardless of what they do. Our lube tech didn't get any vaccines and he was in the hospital three days. Our unvaccinated apprentice had it bad Christmas and got it AGAIN this week (Delta symptoms), we think her wife got it and gave it right back to her. It's a circus.
It kind of figures anyone that has been exposed via shot or natural exposure would have an easier time of it. The body is supposed to work that way. Those I know who've had it bad in the past 2-3 months describe it as a "really bad chest cold" and none were hospitalized. Wonder how many false positives there are? It seems to be fairly common.

Oh! To live under such freedom! Count your blessings!

My pop spotted those birds head and was immediately in lust... Two years ago? we bought a consecutive pair of 327 Ruger Birds heads. Then Double Diamond holsters. So when he saw this, its just likentge 327 but lighter and more shootable around the house. Plus fits in same holster. SO... I have a order in for two bronze tone consecutive numbered revolvers. Good to hear folks are seeing the Bronze my dealer had said some colors may be slow coming.

Got some saws fixed yesterday in my nice, warm garage. The furnace decided to play nice, although the reddy heater declined the opportunity. The reddy heater/salamander/whatever you want to call it was on it's last legs 30 years ago when it was bought cheaply and it isn't healing itself. I'm seriously considering shopping for a new one. It's nice for warming up the garage while the furnace gets going, but the main use is thawing frozen trucks/tractors swathed under cheapy moving blankets. Doesn't matter what I do, moisture and sub-zero weather always get me.

Pulled the old 800 Ford into the garage to replace a battery cable from the positive battery post to the starter solenoid. I'm pretty sure both the cable and solenoid were original from 1955 or so. The other day it got so I had to hold the cable end against the solenoid to get it to start, things were worn! So away I went, only to find the nut on the solenoid refused to come off. Eventually, despite lube and trying to be careful, I busted the stud on the solenoid out of the bakelite housing. "No big deal.", I sez to meself, "Gotta go get the GD anyways." Yeah, right. Seems there are Ford solenoids that work on the tractors that ground to start and solenoids used on other Ford products that run 12v+ to the "S" stud to start. They gave me the wrong one. So SWMBO's car sat out in the cold all night and I don't have my wood tractor. Another trip to town!!!

The fear mongers in the weather dept were calling for "bone chilling/extreme/dangerous/bitter" cold of -20F over the weekend. Weather Underground, which is usually far more accurate, says -10ish at night. I have to wonder why weather prognosticators always focus on the lowest temps which occur at night, about 4AM, when virtually no one is out and about other than in a vehicle, and those few are normally either LE, Highway crews or some poor schlub that has the 5AM start shift at the mine? Fear sells I guess.

My GD is almost 13. Lord that kid is funny! Won't be long and she'll be a miserable, mouthy teen. Wish I could stop time for a few years...

Going to repair a Waltham 12 size pocket watch. Looks like someone placed the wrong size Pallet on the balance staff and an anchor that has chipped jewels. Those jewels are replaceable but not for me today.

One thing I'm not! doing today is moving and re-stacking those 275 pavers that I stacked in the wrong place yesterday.

Ice fished yesterday. Walked a lot, caught a few. Got my buddy out so it was good. Came home in the dark, tired and in a hurry and bunged up the driver's door on my F-150. Simple dumb error. Estimate is $2,650, but the body shop owner told me he could do the rocker panels and cab corners for 1,000 per side. Less than I thought was possible. I hate rust on my white truck but had resigned myself to living with it for the next 100K. I may just pony up the bucks and get them done while it is in his shop.

Roads were/are awful this morning. 1/8" of freezing rain on cold pavement followed by light snow. With our hills and curves the trip to town was disconcerting and I am known for my nonchalance when driving. When I got home I decided I am staying home. I wish I could think of something to reload for. Maybe I'll tie up some white bass flies instead.

Went to town to get that solenoid and while I was gone the power went out! I got home, ran around like a nut trying to get the PTO genset hooked up before the water in the barn froze. Just as I was about to switch to the genset good neighbor Earl came to tell me the power was back on. Good guy, Earl! Hurried to the barn and managed to get the faucet at the end of the line opened with the heat gun and was rewarded with a tiny drip-drip-drip of water! All the other water drops were frozen and the one out the back of the barn is solid ice until we get a thaw. That one doesn't have a heat tape and is a real bear to thaw without some weather to help. Took about 40 minutes for the water to go from a tiny little series of drips to a stream of sediment laden water. The ice in the line always pulls a lot of sediment loose, not sure why. At least it's not solid ice this time! The drops will thaw as the heat from the 60w lightbulbs in the covered recesses does it's job. Nothing worse in my book than frozen water lines, especially with a mess of thirsty livestock on hand.

My BIL and I went out with our flintlocks today The last day of our antique season ends Monday!
Started out at Mid-morning today Temps were 35 Deg and minimal winds....By 1pm the temps were taking a nose dive and the winds were above 20 mph sustained... Out of the north west! We packed it in at 3 :30 pm because it got too painful on the exposed skin! We did not see one deer but there were about 20 or so sets of fresh tracks!
We took turns pushing for the other ...but could not even kick anything out of the thick laurels that were out of the winds! Oh Well, I got out again...looks like the season is over for us, being the forecast for tomorrow is a high of 5 deg and windy & Snow comes in for Sunday into Monday ( about 6 inches ) followed on Monday with freezing rain! Yuck!
