Looks like they bought the lumber for that boardwalk from Home Depot.

Must have been Cottonwood to form to the ground like that.
Love the advertisement for the tobacco products. My Grandfather used to chew "Days Work", and used to offer me a chaw. Took him up on it one night when we were coon hunting on his mules. I must have been green when we got back because my mother wasn't impressed with Grandpa! LOL

The picture of the post office. I'd love to see a picture of the guy inside with his hand on his chin and the guy in the car in the back middle seat. Anybody wears there hat that low has spent some time out in the weather. Wonder what was in those milk cans laying on their sides?

I like that drain pan, hooked up to the pipes and then just swing it out of the way. Haven't seen a setup like before.
The oil drain pans drain into a hole under the garage and the oil gets reabsorbed back into the earth where it originated. Simple, easy, no draining the oil into wheeled 55-gallon drums, no screeching enviro-whackos, no EPA.

Just looking at the car and thinking what a pain that thing would be to wash with all the spokes and louvers.

They used to use the old used oil for dust control on dirt/gravel roads. We used to spread it out back in the alley.

I used to dump my used oil on a cluster of two foot tall coastal live oaks. Now, the trees are 40' tall.

Rally, good call on the cottonwood. Not just how it behaves, but if you've ever been to New Mexico.....

Those guys look awfully clean to be lube guys. The guy/ perhaps owner of vehicle looks like a gangster to me. Why else would he be wearing a full length trench coat, other than to hide his Tommy gun! LOL

Store manager? Canvas longcoat to keep splashes off his suit. Whoever he is he's standing in front of the wall radiator soaking up the heat.

Did you see the doorbell ringer on the column on the right side of the sign?
Biggest one I've ever seen.
Having made jest, I look forward to every picture you post. They are amazing!
