How much fun? look closely at their hands, scared and deformed already.
That's for sure, the ten year old on the right has some major deformation in her left hand it appears. Wonder why they have child labor laws now.

RickH,
Yep, a Brush Wolf. Butt ugly, but huge. All the coyotes I've sent to international fur auctions have graded 3XL size and C color. I could always identify my Mt. coyotes on my invoice. They were half the size and twice the money!

I have to wonder why he is sitting on a length of rope, and how what he used the tubing rack for? it has handles on it so maybe a stand to lift the tires'/tire off the ground to run the bike in place? Maybe the rope is for a topline for his tent?

More like a luggage rack to tie sleeping bags and tarps for transport. Could act as a center support for a tarp tent. I can guess that the piece of tubing extends to each side of the rack. Those handles are pretty high for lifting. Old photos are always fun and filled with speculation.

tubing rack...
It's a motorcycle club, so maybe trick riding?
Or since titled " Motorcycle racers, Fourth of July, Vale, Oregon", maybe a "pace-bike", flying flags or something?

That makes sense Jon, the hand grips are about right to stand on the luggage rack, and maybe do some stunt??? Maybe the guy to the rear of the bike with the helmet on is the "Daredevil".
I still want to know why he is sitting on the rope. That is pretty uncomfortable!
The young boys to the right are sure impressed.
Don't see any Spandex in that crowd!

I'm going to guess the post is to hold it in place when it gets windy. Looks like some flat country.

That bird looks as lean as the little girl holding it!

Remember when those cans of Cambell's soup were that big? Currently they are smaller and nothing in them, and over a dollar a can now!
Probably couple pounds of lead in that soil pipe overhead also.

Looks like Sweet Potatoes, Turnips, and Apples in the bushel baskets; possibly Cranberry's in the barrels. I bet there's some Pumpkin in some of those cans on the shelf as well. Traditional fare and certainly evokes memories of times I've cherished.

@JWFilips I enjoy your picture thread. I am fascinated with history, old quirky stuff, and stuff the way it was; before my time.
I check it regularly, when you post it adds a bright spot to my day. Keep up the good work.

I remember a picture of My Dad holding a unplucked G Canada Goose in a similar pose, about 1928-30. About same age too.

Thanks for allowing us to remember that life wasn't always so easy. But still Good.
