Sometimes it is the simple things

I’m not a big fan of gadgets but every now and then, a gem shows up.

Greasing the roller on a M1 or M1A bolt is an easy task but this little tool makes it even easier. I’ve heard you can use a sized 45 ACP casing with grease in it, but I’ve never had good luck with that method. This little piece of plastic and some appropriate grease does the trick, and it is stupid simple. You put a little grease in the pocket of the tool, push it over the end of the roller as you rotate it and it forces the grease into the roller. The entire operation takes about 60 seconds and that includes cleaning the tool, when you’re done.

This thing currently costs about $8.50 which is about $8 more than it should …..but it’s a pretty cool little gadget. I think I paid about $5 for mine and I am absolutely certain you could make one with a lathe for next to nothing.
