Sometimes you just want a ton of bullets

Someone likes shooting a 9 mm. I sure hope you have a Star sizer to handle the sizing and lubing duties, that many in a Lyman is gonna be slow.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to do likewise and build my stores back up.

No star but I do have an saeco and a Lyman. Maybe the wife will help. I'm thinking about BLL, any one have experience with 9mm and straight BLL? Then I could order lee sizers. Ps I picked up 5 cans of johnsons one step yesterday!

Buy your wife an RCBS pot and a mould and think of any more you could have with both of you casting? Bet you two can cast em faster than Bob can size em.

I dunno.
you get 20 tubes full of 9mm's [with about 55-60 per tube]
once you start running that shovel handle the only thing slowing you down is adding more lube, breaking the return spring on the feeder, or physical fatigue.
at a leisurely pace of filling 8 tubes and sizing them, then alternating back again I can run off about 900-1,000 boolits an hour.

That is an excellent design, works great in all my 9mms.
I do size in one of the Stars, but no feeder or fancy stuff, just a plain old Star.

if by bullet collator you mean two hands, or one of three children then yes.
if by bullet collator you mean a fancy gadget then absolutely not.

now had I just broke down back in the day and shelled out the 4500.00 I coulda got an automated sizer
and just dumped them in the bin and walked away.
I'm still all lost when I use the 650 with the automated case feeder.
I had to modify the primer advance wheel [from automatic to manual] so my right hand had something to do.

Once I got my first star I actually gave my RCBS Lam II and all its dies away and paid the postage to get rid of it. All of this from a man who bleeds RCBS green when cut.
