My 6mm PPC Contender is pretty special, too. I should shoot that gun more......

Yeah, I tell myself that every time I open the safe, so many that hardly ever get touched anymore. Not competing anymore I seem to zero in on one and play with that for awhile, right now it's the M1A but that doesn't fit very well into a specialty pistol thread.

So Glen, your big move should be coming right up. Are you taking any casting gun stuff with you at first or go into withdrawals in Georgia? :(

I'm not the only one with a safe queen that used to see lots of action?
That makes me feel better.

Rick, still a week away. No casting stuff at first, but I will take a few personal favorite revolvers so I can spend some range time with friends. The casting and loading stuff will come later, after we buy a house.

I fondled a couple of the FA Single Shots at the SHOT Show right before their release date. I was very, very tempted but didn't do it, kinda sorry about that.

I never knew FA made a single shot. I bet it shoots well.

It shoots extremely well! Gives 130gr Bergers 2400fps and with the Leupold and 25moa base, we were holding dead on and hitting small rocks at over 1,000yds in Raton.

image.jpg I just got a new super 14. .223 barrel for my TC contender. This makes the third barrel including a 10". 30-30 and a 10" octagon .22LR barrel. I'm excited to go try this one out. I put a Burris 2x7x32 scope on it. 40gr V -Max bullets to start. Cast will come someday. This should be a fun one to bust bottles of water out to 200 yards or so !

I was too lazy to put the Pachmayr grip on for a picture. I wish I had a nice wood forend for a 14" barrel.

I'll look tomorrow, I probably have a stock T/C forend for the bull barrel. Wasn't it you looking for one for the octagon barrel a while back?

Yup. But I found one for the 10" octagon barrels. Now I would like one for the Super 14 barrels. PS I've been keeping an eye out for that Grandkid of yours out here in Springfield! :)

Thanks Rick. If you have one your willing to part with, let me know how much you would like for it.

I keep forgetting I traded into a 7TCU barrel for mine a year or more ago. I need to scope it and see what it will do.

I can say this, a KHornet in a 10 inch barrel makes a huge fireball with a case full of WC680 and a jacketed bullet. Pretty impressive if not annoying as hell.

I'm really looking forward to shooting this one! I want to get out to the desert and shoot this one at some distance. I'll work up some 55gr BT's too.

Not being much of a handgunner at all, I am very glad that I did not get bit by the Contender bug. Know some people with 8-10 bbls or more for them. They are fun to shoot however, so to each his own I guess!
